 A hybrid also provides solid lower support and a certain "springy" feel that pure foam mattresses don't. I've had my Pro Adapt Hybrid for a month. It's considered to be medium firm by Tempur Pedic. It was pretty firm when I first got it but it's now beginning to soften a bit and it's conforming better to my body

 It's becoming more and more comfortable as time goes on. It's relatively cool and having a cover that's removable and washable without degrading the fabric's cooling properties is a nice feature. I have it on a Tempur Ergo Extend adjustable bed and it's an excellent combination. My ratings of four stars are based upon it's performance so far but I do expect that to improve

A Solid Hybrid Mattress

If there is any hint of support loss, we turn the switch and pump it fully up and it feels like a new bed. We went yesterday and we laid down on the Tempurpedic Pro-adapt Medium, and we really liked it.

 I've had it for two weeks and have woken up sweaty every morning, despite sleeping in a 68F apartment with light covers.  If this mattress were $3K it's not worth the money, or the hassle of returning it. There are some great hybrid mattresses out there but this one missed the mark. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because it is definitely high quality and quite comfy, so long as you aren't spending a third of your life on it

Sleeps hot and is incredibly soft

 The Smart Climate dual cover system is a system where Tempur-Pedic takes the high density yarn that we talked about in the regular adapt line but this time it has a removable cover on it so it has a zipper that goes around the entire bed so you can remove it and wash it if it ever gets dirty or you just want to have a more hygienic bed. So that's a nice feature to note and you don't have to worry about losing that cooling story because the cooling story from this cover comes from a physical property rather than a chemical bath. Directly below that the second part of the dual cover system is a high stretch knit panel. This is going to be very breathable but it's going to add to the conformability of this bed so it's going to be just that extra level of pressure point relief that you're going to be getting from the medium hybrid here

Below the cover you're going to have a layer of Tempur ES foam which is Tempur-Pedic's extra soft foam so you're going to get all the great pressure point relief from a regular Tempur-Pedic foam but it's going to be extra soft which is going to help contribute to the more medium feel that this mattress has. In addition to that I should mention that Tempur-Pedic foam is similar to a memory foam in terms of its qualities

 APR stands for advanced pressure point relief so I just mentioned that Tempur-Pedic foam is more pressure point relieving than a standard memory foam so Tempur-Pedic went back to the drawing board and reformulated that foam to give it even more pressure point relief hence APR. So you have a layer of that in here since this mattress is in the ProDap line. Below that at the core of this bed is what makes it a hybrid. You have a core of very premium inner spring coils so this is going to give you a more traditional feel kind of a more hybrid feel as the name suggests so you're going to get the deep down back support that you are used to from a coil system but with those pressure point relief or the pressure point relieving layers of the Tempur-Pedic foams on top

 Both to your physical comfort, as well as your bank account. (Btw, my Wife and I are not large people. The combined weight of two people on this King mattress was less than 340lbs).  Steer clear and get a superior product (for likely less) from another brand

  So, we tested it. 6 months ago, needing a new bed for the guest room, we bought a Casper Hybrid. My Wife and I both have sleep trackers in Aura Rings. She "felt" the Casper better, truthfully so did I, but we decided to conduct a little experiment

 Less than two years later, it's so bad that, rather than continue to suffer, my Wife and I decided to throw in the towel and buy another new mattress all together.  Wish I read the 1-stars before this purchase (rather than the supposedly "independent" blogs & review sites.) We've experienced the same issues, as mentioned by others:  - Cover feels cool, but warms up and sleeps hot - Bed is sensitive to room temp - Feels fine through its trial period, but near a year, softens, leading to back pain, and rolling / sinking towards your partner - Somehow the bed is both too firm and yet unsupportive. (Side sleeping results in numb-ness, while back sleeping brings shoulder and lower back pain)  A year into ownership, we knew this thing was bad, but I remained in denial - there's no way that a Tempur-Pedic, such a well-regarded, costly brand - one that my family has had great experiences with (albeit the Tempur-Pedic of decades ago) - is THIS bad

  Oh, and don't even bother with a warranty claim. The mattress needs to show an indentation of greater than 3/4'' an inch. I suspect that Tempur is building these mattresses w/a weak, unsupportive top layer, one that losses support just outside the return period - BUT is also able to rebound. Meaning with no one on the bed there's no indent, but lay on it, and its lack of support and that sinking feeling is readily apparent

 Well, we found this was ideal for most stomach sleepers. This group needs a firm surface that supports their bellies, and the firm surface of the ProAdapt minimizes this sagging. While lightweight sleepers may experience some pressure buildup, for the most part, if you're a stomach sleeper, you should look to this model. One of the strengths of the Tempur-Pedic memory foam is its motion isolation properties, and our testing found this to be the case on the ProAdapt as well

You’re not alone, I had both the LuxeBreeze firm and soft and I hated them both. I liked the ProAdapt Medium Hybrid for two months then it stopped being supportive. I’ve completely sworn off Tempur-Pedic.

I've slept 3 nights on a king size Luxebreeze firm. I know it takes some time to break in, but the first night I woke up with the sheets wet with sweat despite this supposed to be the coolest mattress. I had the AC cranked and my old mattress, albeit warm, didn't have these issues often. Bad omen for night one. 

It's SO firm. I've walked on it. Crawled on it. I know it's night 3, but I am a back sleeper and it's just not comfy. My dog, who usually sleeps with me, jumps off to go to his bed. He doesn't even like it. 

They recommend 30 days, but at this point I paid $7k for this thing and I'm anxious that this has been a mistake. I haven't gotten a good night's sleep yet on this, I can't imagine how this is going to do a 180 and justify the price. 

There's a Duxiana down the road, debating just getting one of those.
