 Now, there are a lot of sleepers out there who really enjoy the feel of a memory foam mattress in part because it can feel really secure and it can deter you from tossing and turning at night, which can lead to more restful sleep. But some other sleepers out there don't really like the feel of a memory foam because it can almost feel like you're stuck in the mattress, which is especially tough if you're a combination sleeper. Either way though, if you know you enjoy the feel of a memory foam bed, you should probably like how all of these beds feel. With all that stuff out of the way, let's start getting into the beds themselves

 Now starting with the most affordable option, going up to the most expensive and that means we're starting with the Tempur Cloud Matches. This is a three-layer foam bed that comes in one firmness level, which they call a medium, but in our tests, we found it to be closer to a medium firm on our scale, which means it'll probably be most ideal for back and stomach sleepers. This is their most basic and affordable mattress, and it retails for right around two thousand dollars For a queen, this bed is supposed to be Tempur-pedic's answer to other bed-in-a-box style mattresses. This bed actually ships to you in a bag, but there's no real practical difference between a bag and a box When it comes to beds, This bed seems to be targeting people who really, really want a tempur-pedic but also want that whole online mattress experience

 Once it does, you get a trial period of 90 nights, so about three months to decide if you actually like the mattress. Although Tempur-pedic asks that you at least spend 30 nights on their mattress to let your body adjust to it. If you don't like the mattress within the trial period, you can get a full refund with a return option. although they will charge you for that return depending on where you live

 I think it should be anywhere from 150 to 200 bucks to return one of these mattresses. But should you decide to keep any of these mattresses, they are all backed by a standard 10-year warranty. Now before we start talking about the individual beds themselves, let's talk about the feel of these mattresses because that is what tempur-pedic is most known for: Having a traditional, dense memory foam feel. When you lay down on a tempur-pedic mattress, the bed will feel quite firm at first, especially if you're in a colder room

Also if you have a Tempurpedic Power Base, is the massage feature worth the upgrade? I think we should get the Ease ($1698) because the upgrades on the Ergo ($2598) do not seem worth an extra $900 to me. My husband and I don’t snore so quiet mode doesn’t matter, we already have plenty of chargers in our bedroom so USB ports don’t matter, and we don’t care about underbed lighting. If you have an Ergo, do you think the massage feature is worth $900?

 The best I was able to do before this mattress was a Tuft & Needle memory foam mattress with a Sealy mattress topper on top. This Tempur-pedic is, so far, a bit better than that setup. I'm sort of at this in-between, "getting used to a new mattress" time but I still have to give the mattress four stars because I no longer wake up with sore knees and hips when laying on my side for long periods of time.  I will be back to update after a few more weeks with this mattress

 At first, I thought it was going to be too firm, but once you are in it for a bit, it starts to give more and is softer.  My back is usually uncomfortable in bed. The more I read, the more I see people consider the LuxeAdapt Firm as more plush. Does anyone know just how supportive this is compared to the ProAdapt Medium (non hybrid)? I can do firmer, but I definitely don't want it to be softer. 

I was only able to trial the PA medium and PA firm, the LuxeAdapt Firm wasn't held in store, so I weighed that in purely through reviews.  Anyway, the PA medium seemed to offer more support than the PA medium hybrid did, and the PA firm seemed to offer even more support but I could imagine it being a bit too firm for when I side sleep. I decided to pony up and go for the LuxeAdapt Firm, since it is very similar to the ProAdapt Medium in terms of construction, but supposedly with even better material.

TLDR; Purchased ProAdapt Medium Hybrid, but I'm exchanging it due to being too soft. Mainly considering ProAdapt Medium (non-hybrid) or LuxeAdapt Firm. How similar are they in terms of support? Is LuxeAdapt Firm softer, the same, or slightly more firm than ProAdapt medium (non-hybrid)? Thanks.

 We recently got aSealy Posturepedic Hybrid Performance Kelburn 13-Inch Mattress, Queen , and for less than half the price, it is FAR more comfortable than this mattress. We actually tried it with the topper, and had to send it away, because the comfort was superior without it. Not so with this mattress. Very disappointing! Go with the Sealy

Medium is hard.

I'll be the dissenting opinion here. I owned three Tempur-Pedic mattresses last year and I hated all three. I had the LuxeBreeze Soft and Firm, couldn't stand them. I found the soft to not be supportive enough and hot, I found the firm to be as hard as concrete

People are saying that there are other brands that are the same (or very close) for less the price, but offer no examples.

If possible, what are some  apples to apples (or as close to) comparison to the Tempurpedic brand?

Tempurpedic comparisons

My review is for the same mattress bought about 5+ years ago the Tempur-Contour Supreme (without the cooling, though I wished I would’ve gotten that).  The pricing first of all is ridiculous even though it’s now paid off. I also purchased the adjustable bed frame, which means I spent 5000-6000$+!  Though advertised firm, I believe it could be firmer. And also the remote to the doesn’t sync to the bed frame no more… wasted my money

Now to actually get someone from Nest on the phone to start this return…. So far my calls have gone straight to voicemail.

 So we’re shopping for something new. Read a lot online about Latex and decided the Nest Natural All Latex in Firm was the way to go for us because of the firmness of the Dunlop style layers.

 (I am 5’7” and 190 lbs, my spouse is 5’1” and 130 lbs). The only modifications the Nest explainer video gives for improving support are about the base - but we’ve got a really good firm base so that is not the culprit. I don’t need 98 more nights to know that this thing isn’t getting any firmer. 

 It's becoming more and more comfortable as time goes on. It's relatively cool and having a cover that's removable and washable without degrading the fabric's cooling properties is a nice feature. I have it on a Tempur Ergo Extend adjustable bed and it's an excellent combination. My ratings of four stars are based upon it's performance so far but I do expect that to improve

 A hybrid also provides solid lower support and a certain "springy" feel that pure foam mattresses don't. I've had my Pro Adapt Hybrid for a month. It's considered to be medium firm by Tempur Pedic. It was pretty firm when I first got it but it's now beginning to soften a bit and it's conforming better to my body

A Solid Hybrid Mattress

 She loves to feel like she's "sleeping on a cloud" and loves a soft plush mattress. She is mostly a side sleeper but is now pregnant so will need to be sleeping on her back more in the coming months. I'm primarily a side and stomach sleeper and will occasionally find myself waking up on my back. I don't love an extremely firm mattress, but don't want anything nearly as soft as my wife does

 I am 6'2 \~190lbs and she is 5'1 \~130lbs pre pregnancy. Our current mattress is a Sealy Posturepedic Lakehurst that's about 8 years old and bowing significantly in the middle. 

So far I've spent hours looking into mattress after mattress, but have focused more on the Nest Alexander Signature Hybrid in the plush/medium combo and Leesa Legend Hybrid (mainly since Costco sells it and I love their return policy). However I am not set at all on these. Any advice/help to finally pull the trigger would be greatly appreciated!
