definitely the Thinkpad as u/onime1 said, 32 gig is far better. The higher price is justified (to a large extent ) I considered the T14s gen 2 as well before gong for my Thinkpad P15s gen 2. Besides you'll also get less bloat in a win 10 pro Thinkpad machine - unless that doesn't matter to you. The Thinkpad is worth the price hike.

That said the t14 gen 2 chassis, cooling, and internal layout is ancient (identical to t490 & t14) and lenovo's 14" thinkpads with dGPUs (t480, t490 & t14) have all had thermal issues undermining significant dGPU benefits. Unless you need a dGPU \*and\* the t14 AMD gen 2 reviews show they've somehow resolved the thermal issues without overhauling the cooling solution I'd avoid it.

I didn't have any issues with the T15g Gen 2, it was pretty great, I am just used to 17 inch screens.

I picked up a Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 a while back, and I'm still loving it. It's not Bay Trail (it's Clover Trail) but it handles most non-graphically-intensive work just fine. I use mine for work, so mostly Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
