TP-Link Archer AX20

I understand that WiFi might not be full duplex, but why does it show a link speed of 900-1.2Gbps when the real speed is more like 600Mbps half duplex?. My router does not advertise MU-MIMO actually. I feel like it's got to do with the router, as the US version of the same router does advertise MU-MIMO and OFDMA together while this one does not. So am I getting the expected speeds, or have I been scammed by TP-Link?.

The X20 satellite garnered 301Mbps on our 30-foot test, compared with 386Mbps for the TP-Link X60, 611Mbps for the Linksys Velop AX4200, and 619Mbps for the Asus ZenWiFi XT8.

The idea of investing in an affordable Wi-Fi 6 router made me incredibly excited. I’ve wanted to upgrade my home’s router for a while, and it seemed like a no-brainer to try out Wi-Fi 6 speeds and see what all the hype was about.

Honestly dude the TP-Link Archer A20 you have is likely the problem. I've seen a few people report the same problems as you and every time I tell them I don't have those problems and things just work for me and are instant, everything loads quick, notifications come within a second of someone pushing the doorbell etc.

If you want an AX router, the Archer AX20 is about $130, so it's still within your price range. AX might not benefit you from the standpoint that if you don't have many AX clients you might not be able to use those capabilities, but the AX 20 has a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor (vs. 750 MHz on the A7) and more memory, so will be able to handle heavy traffic and lots of devices better.

Night and day. WiFi Signal strength and speeds are better everywhere in the house.
