TP-Link Archer A7

Personally, I have a Motorola MB8600 (which is on your list), and a TP-Link Archer C7. It's a good combo for the typical home user, but I'll likely be upgrading someday when I wire my whole home and incorporate my growing Home Lab. I would recommend that combo to my parents or in-laws. It's simple to setup, and has most useful features the average household needs.

I am currently using a Motorola MB8600 modem and a TP-Link AC1750 Archer A7 router. I also have Comcast Xfinity 200mb for my internet. I have had almost nothing but problems with the Archer A7, it worked fine for about a week, but now it disconnects 3-5 times a day; and I am pretty sick of not having stable internet. For the record, I am 95% certain it s the router to blame, as when I plug my PC into the modem, I have internet, but when I plug it into the router again, I lose that internet.

No, I watch too many friends Asus's and Nighthawks burn out in a year. But for something like the cabin or friends/family small setups I've got a couple TP-Link Archer C7's out there with their WAPs that I've never had to touch after setup for over 3 years.

I am on 1g/1g fiber. I'm a cable tech and we prewired our house with ethernet one night after the electricians left the jobsite. I went from a TP Link Archer c7 which not only dropped out all the time, but the 5ghz was slower than the 2.4ghz.
