The Troy Lee Designs D3 Fiberlite is a high-end helmet at an impressive price tag. The D3 Fiberlite borrows many features from the more expensive models in the Troy Lee line and packages them in a more affordable, fiberglass shell. This helmet delivers a high level of comfort with plush padding and a crowd-pleasing fit. The heavier construction is confidence-inspiring, and we felt secure and well-protected at high speeds and while hitting jumps. This lid is moderately priced, but we feel it represents an excellent blend of quality and price.
The D3 Fiberlite isn't quite perfect. This is one of the heaviest helmets in our review and is not the helmet we would choose for anything but pure gravity riding. It is best suited for riding lifts at the bike park, racing, and burly freeriding. We also found its ventilation/breathability to be a bit below average. While we feel it is a very protective helmet, it does not come with any sort of rotational impact protection system.

 Hopefully I won't put it to the test but confident for what I do it'll be strong enough to protect my head from serious injury. Doesn't have MIPS so if your riding black trails I'd recommend spending the extra $50-100. I had to buy all my gear (knee/elbow pads, pants, etc) so had to stay within a reasonable budget. Also, I read the reviews so I understood it might be a little snug around your cheeks, but I have a narrower jaw line so it's a comfortable fit

For bike park use, riding mostly blue flow trails. I'm 41 and trying to get to work the next day so not trying any 20 ft jumps out steep tech, and lightness/ventilation/comfort were my top concerns. Hopefully I won't put it to the test but confident for what I do it'll be strong enough to protect my head from serious injury. LIGHT & COMFORTABLE

Saved my son's life

I ride this helmet when the ground is frozen in MN or when I am going to ride very aggressively on mountain bike trails as I have had bad crashes in the past and makes sense to be proactive in staying safe. It doesn't feel any different then my other high end mountain bike helmets that are not full face that I wear during summer months though I do feel much more confident wearing this helmet.

This full face is great! Super comfortable and fits well (no feeling of pressure points on my head). The chin bar is a good size and it feels sturdy. Bought this over other lighter-weight options because it can take multiple impacts which makes it more affordable. It's top of the line safety rating is a mega plus as well

This helmet works and it saved my head from serious injury, I used this for my first visit at a bike park, I crashed into a tree headfirst at a rapid speed. my head hurt but I wasn't knocked out nor concussed. Very thankful for this helmet.

Great helmet perfect for downhill bicycling and or E-sk8! Find the size that fits you perfectly and the helmet wont give you any trouble. I bought a medium and it fits snug in all the correct places. Worth the money, will own forever!
