 Taking a look at the ankle strap it features the Forma ankle strap, just a really light cushiony ankle strap, not a whole lot going on with it, it's pretty rubbery but it's going to offer a lot of response as well as all day comfort. Taking a look at the base plate on this binding you're going to notice that it features the Stage 6 Duraflex base plate, it's just going to be a really lightweight material but it's also very strong and very responsive. This binding also features the 3D extruded aluminum heel cup and as always the heel cup and the base plate are both backed by Union's limited lifetime warranty. This binding also features non-stick EVA bushings, what that is is a dampening system that's going to allow these bindings to suck up more of the vibrations and chatter from riding fast or on rough surfaces and it's just going to make for an all around better ride

Just picked up Capitas new Black snowboard of death and I'm trying to find a good pair of bindings for it. My old board has a pair of burton malavita est bindings that I love but they're obviously not going to fit on this board. Right now I'm liking the union atlas but I can't seem to make up my mind. I do a lot of fast pow/tree riding but I also get on the groomers and jumps once in awhile too. Not too much park though. I've heard good things about the burton cartels and pretty much anything from union. What do you guys like?

Best All Mountain/Pow Bindings?

Fantastic

 They upgraded the high back. It's a different material. It seems a little more sturdy. It has now two holes inside here so you can actually rotate the high backs where you couldn't last year so it makes it a much more recommendable binding for those who want kind of the response of the Atlas and Force, maybe even a touch more, but more butterability because it has a mini disc instead of a full-size disc

 And I find that these work great for that. It really just keeps my boots supported. And I love how this ratchet system works. I've never had an issue with these

 It makes it a much more recommendable binding. And if you want something that has the response and almost as much dampness as the Atlas, but you want more butterability and you want a better feel underfoot, you've got the Union Falcor this year and it's a solid binding, highly recommendable. All our reviews are best effort, objective opinion from an average rider's perspective. There's no brand oversight

 This just does a better job than almost any other binding out there in the line other than the Contact Pro with the softer EVA foam underneath. This EVA foam is a little rubbery, a little on the rubbery side and it's kind of a little more stiff than the Contact Pro but not quite as rubbery as the Atlas. This just has great butterability and it really makes the board you have a little flexier a little easier and it really doesn't interfere. There's almost no dead spots underfoot

What are the “go to“ bindings these days ?

 But there is a chance that, you know, with this heel loop you can get it dialed out right and you really need to be on this gas pedal to feel this binding's response. It can really lack on a toe side turn if you don't have it set up right. This just has, you know, a dampness to it, a shock absorbing property to it where this felt responsive and light but a little more buttery but a little less, a little more chattery. So you know, I'm stoked that they did this because it really just matches this ultra aggressive Travis Rice style personality for those of you who, you know, fancy to ride like him and can stay out of the hospital when you try

 You can really, you can push it in three notches or pull it out three notches basically. It's got zero, one, and two. And now they have this new like little adjustability, they changed this screw system, I put in a different washer, and it never comes loose anymore. So you know, if you had old union bindings before, these would often come loose on you, they don't anymore

 Some elevens aren't going to fit this. Some ten and a halfs won't fit this, but then some will. Just all depends on the boot footprint. But all in all, super impressed with the Falcor

 The ankle strap this year was pretty much passed down to the strata. So that has that ankle strap now, and now we've got this new, big, lighter, full plastic strap that is more supportive, has a nice pre-curve, has a little comfort patch right here, and then the big thing is, let me hold these discs here, they went from kind of like an EVA foam, and I don't know if you can see it, but we've got a lot of nice sunlight going on here right now, and you can see this one's EVA foam, kind of like Union bindings have always been, right? This one has a more rubbery bottom, kind of more like, ah, shit, more like the strata is now, and that's done two real major things for this binding. It's given it more support and more dampness. You definitely feel a difference going from that binding to this binding

Union Falcor 2020 Snowboard Binding Review

Had my eyes set on the Union Falcor bindings because it fits my riding style quite nicely: really liked the stiffness and responsiveness that I was reading about because I ride a lot of trees and such and don't like the delay before movements. I also really liked how the mini disk provided a bit of cushion until like the other freeride bindings I've seen.

I have 2021 Union Falcor bindings and 2021 Vans Verse boots. Love that combo. Wouldn’t mind branching out from lib tech but I like those people and I like supporting a local WA brand. Not concerned about price as much as performance

Atlas was underwhelming compared to all the other bindings I have listed and the Falcor is ok and carves really well along with being very light but I would not go out of my way to pick up another pair of Union bindings - not so durable and just ok compared to the Arbor Cypress. Now Drives and NX2 I reserve for my stiff boards and are super responsive so for carving and freeride.

I have a Yes Basic board from 2019 and riding it with salomon rhythm bindings. This season will be my 4th and I’m thinking of changing my bindings. I won’t be hitting the park at all because there is no park option in my country 🥲 but crusing the mountain will be my main focus and trying new stuff on freestyle is always fun.

So my question is which binding would you combine with the Yes Basic board?
And is my salomon rhythm bindings are too soft for what i want to do?
