Good choice, 3BT can be a bit weird and it might be harder to switch to a non 3BT board if ure not a super experienced rider. Union force bindings are great i personally prefer the Union Strata’s they are a little stiffer than most mid flexing bindings and a little more flexy than the forces, which make them ideal for park/resort. Also get to a winterstore for your boots, where they can measure, heatmold and even get you some custom insoles. Would not recommend ordering some shoes online if you dont have expirience with different brands / systems of snowboard boots.

I wouldn't go as soft as the Strata for a board like the Mercury, but that's because I see it as a board to ride all over the mountain, even on some harder lines that benefit from more response. The Cartel X, or the Union Atlas, seem like overkill, though. Too stiff for a do-it-all deck like the Merc. Personally, I'd go Union Force, Burton Cartel, Nitro Team, Ride C-6, Rome Katana... something like that.

Gave me the confidence to fly into lovers leap in vail without peeking the edge first(I had a spotting lap for rocks). Powers through jumps and feels great with literally anything I threw at it. You will not be disappointed. Edit: I have adidas samba boots and union strata bindings that make for a great feel all around with the board.
