I have the viewsonic one. I think it’s a solid monitor, especially at the price it is. I came from 1080p 144hz and the upgrade was quite noticeable. Imo the ips panel is very worth it, it just looks so much better than my old screen

So I'm looking to complete my new PC build with a 1440p monitor. 

To highlight, my main criteria includes 1440p, 144hz Refresh rate, minimal ghosting (1ms response).

I'm currently sitting on a very mediocre 75hz 1080p monitor which has... 'issues' let's say (It seems to think that white is grey).

I've been looking on youtube etc and found a couple of models that seem of interest and wondered if anyone could help me to understand whether its worth spending that bit more or holding on to it..

1) Aoc Gaming Cq27g2u - This is my budget option at around £260. I've heard that there can be a significant amount of ghosting using this screen but wanted someone to help confirm if this is actually an issue or not. I know it's a VA panel as well which again has it's own limitations. 

2) ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD - Slightly more expensive IPS panel at around £330. Is the move to IPS worth the extra money? It's also very difficult to actually find this monitor anywhere.. Currys b2b seems to be the only viable method and that brings about its own risk assessment!

3) LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B - This is the premium choice, but at over £400 its a huge investment.. is it worth it? Are there are any other choices in-between this and the ViewSonic which may be a good fit?

1440p 144hz on a budget - which to choose?

 Doesn't work either way. My computer recognizes it as a device but can't project to it.  Maybe I am doing something wrong but after several hours of trying different settings it doesn't seem to do the one thing I bought it for. I did contact Viewsonic customer service a week ago but have received ZERO from them

So, I bought a cheap ViewSonic M1 Mini for summer days at my mothers cottage. I knew it  was pretty crappy specwise but thought it was worth a chance being so inexpensive. Well, the reviews were pretty correct. In any sort of daylight this thing is useless. But! As soon as the sun is down and you lower all lights its amazingly cinematic in feeling. I actually like the fuzzines of the 480 resolution, especially with older material. It felt like cinema did when I was a kid, and I love it!

So, I've got the projector bug now and looking to maybe replace my tv with something a bit more advanced than my tiny M1 Mini. And here's the rub. Will a HD projector (mind you 1080, not going near 4K) still feel "cinematic" for lack of a better word. Or just more lika a very big TV with worse daylight capabilities? For instance I'm looking at the M2 for this purpose, but not sure how it will "feel".

Any experiences?

One would expect something similar to Apple TV or Roku or what a smart TB has built in, with apps for common streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. This has none of that

 For one thing, you have to use both the phone and the projector’s remote. Projector placement is limited to how far HDMI cord can reach, or else I have to get up and go the phone to pause or whatever I need to do.  I searched and searched in the manual and on the website to see if I’m missing something about how to enable the kind of Smart TV interface I was expecting but haven’t found anything. I hope I’m just missing something and will find out this was my mistake

Looking for some feedback on the PX748-4k.  I have been hunting for reviews and have hard a really hard time finding any.  I have been hunting for a 4k projector upgrade for my solid 1080P DLP for quite some time.  Nothing wrong with the Pro7827HD, just wanting a better picture for my 120" fixed screen.  I also would like to step up to HDR, and this model supports HDR formats.

On paper, it seems like the PX748 will be a significant upgrade in terms of both brightness performance as well as DLP chipset should be much faster for input when gaming.

Am I missing any good options under $1500?

Help me replace my Moto Z and projector mod

One month in after several frustrating attempts, I still don't understand what I can project (wasn’t able to mirror a family zoom event) or how the inputs work (do I need to get an $80 apple usb c cord recommended somewhere online? What will it do?) and what Bluetooth can do. I’ve downloaded Amazon and Netflix and those work BUT, once you’re sitting in the dark watching something you can’t see the remote at all (not backlit or other). I also can’t figure out if I can use Bluetooth earbuds with a movie so I can’t watch outside without the noise bothering neighbors. This MIGHT be great, if there was more info on what it can/can’t do
