 So now to the main feature of this keyboard, the LEDs with a frosted case. Like that the light produced by the LEDs become very diffuse which gives a smoother transition between colors. Apart from having LEDs under every switch, the case also has LEDs under the PCB all around the case and you can control the top LEDs and the bottom LEDs and the in terms of animations, you are limited to what's on board as the keyboard isn't programmable with a software or an app function and right control that you go through. animations for the top LEDs and function plus left control lets you do the same for the LEDs at the bottom

 They look like the staff that came with the original and pro one and these were pretty bad, but in this case they're all rights their factory Lube but it seems very light so there might be room for improvement. Overall, this keyboard sounds pretty good, especially considering the price. The guitar on switches are smooth and the stabilizers don't have too much rattle. It's better than a lot of more expensive keyboards out of the box

 Now looking at the layout, it's almost ANSI standard. The windows and function keys are one unit wide instead of the typical 1.25 which isn't too bad, but the right shift key is 2 units wide instead of 2.75 That means that replacing key caps will be harder than with a 60% keyboard

 So guys again, if you do want to go check out the Wamir K660. It is fantastic. And did I mention it still has arrow keys? So it's like technically not a 60 keyword? It's like whatever 66 keys K60 makes sense. but if you do want to go pick it up, there's a banggood

 They feel like brown switches. They feel actually really good. I'm not gonna lie. Okay, it does not say what type of switch it is

 But this is an awesome keyboard. It's our first time using a keyboard with an acrylic case and that does have some differences in its sound as well as the way that the typing feels. Let's jump into it. So as I've said before, this is an acrylic case keyboard

 So the acrylic case filled and sounds a little bit different. It's softer material then and then an aluminum plate so when you're typing on it it feels less harsh and it doesn't like bounce like the force doesn't bounce back as much and the noise isn't as it isn't like a nice like when you're clapping it, it's just it's hard to explain but you'll hear it in the sound test and then you can compare it to other sound tests as needed but it's very soft feeling. These stabilizers feel really nice. They're not rally

 Looks pretty cool, but I really dig the white. The only problem with the white is that it doesn't allow the RGB to really pop. If you were using black key caps with the double shot, it would just pop immensely because of the high contrast between the two. Looking for a budget mechanical keyboard

  All this being said, I returned mine. The RGB kicks ass, but the other issues were too annoying for me as I like to swap switches/keycaps often. Also, the level of quality on this board didn't inspire confidence that is would last long. For the price, you're better off getting a Keychron K6

Let's start with the pros, since there are so little. - The RGB is awesome through the translucent case. It's a light show on your desk. Replace the stock caps with some pudding keycaps and you'll have an even crazier light show

 Now you have to put the switch back in (careful not to bend those switch pins) and then put the new keycap on. LOL, WTF? - My case was not flush on the sides. There are three layers of acrylic sandwiched together. My middle layer was not the same size as the others and resulted in the sides being uneven

 I've owned that board and it's solid. Obviously the RGB won't match up to the Womier, but not many boards will in any price range. At least the Womier has one thing going for it.

Hard pass unless all you care about is a light show on your desk

I wanna buy a mechanical keyboard but I dont know which one. If you have a recommendation I appreciate. I have one in mind (Ducky ONE 2 SF MX Brown). But I would like to hear your thoughts of a good mechanical keyboard :)

This is another "hey what keyboard to buy" post, however I think I can be specific enough such that some of the keyboard geeks out there would know exactly what's right for me.

For a bit of background, I just bought my first mechanical keyboard - Corsair K70 RGB Mk2, with MX browns. If you don't know anything about that keyboard I'll just summarize and say that iCUE software is amazing but also dogshit and running it uses up a lot of CPU power and basically halved my frames in Apex. Running the software is necessary for the lighting effects - the whole "3 profiles stored on the board" thing is basically bull. So I returned the board.

Here's a list of some of the features which I would like from a board:


**Switches**

Definitely want tactile feedback, but a clicky switch will unfortunately drive my gf nuts so that's out. The idea of a linear switch weirds me out a bit honestly. I want a satisfying but quiet cuh-thunk.
Feeling those MX browns was my first time with a mechanical keyboard and honestly I wasn't very impressed by them - the stem had a decent amount of lateral play making the keycap wobble very noticeable. also at each keypress the springs SUNG like nothing I was expecting, and I could feel the friction from the stem on the way down. Browns are supposed to be tactile non clicky but it felt more like scratchy lumpy linear. So I'm really thinking that the quality of MX switches really aren't all they're cracked up to be.

I'm willing to sacrifice a lot in this area, since a keyboard that looks *nice* is much better than one that looks flashy and tacky. I found that the way I would like to use rgb is to distinguish the letters/punctuation/numbers/other when typing, and distinguish wasd/qertf/etc when gaming. Corsair's iCUE did do this easily in fairness, but I'm also open to a keyboard without that functionality so long as it looks really nice overall.

**Other**

Budget is around EUR150.
Having to solder myself is probably fraught as I know I'll make a mess of it.
Obviously general build quality should be there and it should be something to be proud to own.

 I'm trying to get into lubing and modding mechanical keyboards and I need some advice. I bought a second hand Anne 2 Pro with Gateron Reds. I would like to lube them to hopefully make them more smooth and less noisy. Since this is the first keyboard that I want to lube I don't want to invest in a soldering iron at this point. Therefore, I would try to lube the contacts points of the stems and the housing using a thin lube by pressing the stem down and using a brush - heard that you get about 70% of the benefit from lubing this way compared to disassembling the switch. What lube should I use for this method? Will the Krytox GPL 205 be too thick? I live in the EU so some of the popular lubes are pretty hard to find. I appreciate any input and advice!

I have a Ducky Shine 7 with Cherry MX Blues and PBT Keycaps that I absolutely love the feel and sound of, but I also want to build another board thats quieter and smaller. I am planning on a DZ60 from KBD fans, but I can't decide what switches I want. I want little to no sound but still want a strong tactile bump. Any Suggestions?

Are there any physical differences between the the Mac and Windows version of the Das Keyboard pro 4? or is it just a case of swapping the mac keys for windows ones if i were to get it? (I have an opportunity to pick up a mac version)

I was on Drop this morning and saw they were selling the [DZ60](https://drop.com/buy/dz60-dz60rgb-type-c-60-pcb) PCB and a [metal case](https://drop.com/buy/kbdfans-5-60-aluminum-mechanical-keyboard-case).  Since the RGB pcbs are hot swappable, what is the difference between buying this and something like the Drop Alt.  What is better?  Thanks.

Recently built out a tofu keyboard. When I type (gateron ink black) there is a noticeable amount of ping/echo. How can I fix this? I have cut out a towel and put it in but it doesn’t seem to do the trick, and I don’t want to blow 25 bucks on sorbothane.

i received the varmilo sakura va 108M today as my first mech keyboard, and i can't figure out how to stop the LEDs from pulsing? i can slow it down using fn+arrow keys but it still pulsates. can't find anything really online about this either, any tips?
