Received a HiSense Hi Reader yesterday, all the way from China. Had previously used an Inkpalm 5, which I liked but found to be a bit slow.

I am really struggling with what to choose

1. **Hisense A5 Premium edition** with 4GB Ram and 64GB storage or 
2. **Hisense A5 Pro Standart edition** with 3GB Ram and 32GB storage

Both have nearly the same price in JD

I mostly plan to read on it with the Kindle app and to sync the reading process with my Kindle. Maybe in the future, I may read some PDF's and comics/manga.

I also consider **Xiaomi Inkalm 5**, and to be honest, I like it very much(especially the warm light for reading before the sleep and the weight), but I am not sure if I can install the Kindle app on it. Also as far as I understood the screen is smaller than A5 (my main phone has a large screen, tbh I am a little bit afraid of small screens, I am used to big ones :D ). Any insights from people who own it?

I have the budget to buy **Hisense A7** too, but it is too bulky, and carrying it with me all day long will not be easy as my main phone is also bulky. Also, it is a bigger investment, so I would prefer to buy the next generation when it is out, so I don't consider A7 for now.

My good old friend Bookeen Cybook Odyssey HD (2014) just passed away. I am looking for a replacement but it's very difficult. I would like an e-reader that can 

\- read epub (good bye Kindle)

\- be put in my jacket (good bye Libra 2)

\- and that has buttons (good bye Clara HD)

\- I do not care at all about color, pdf, games, internet

\- preferably under 200€ (but if not possible, tell me what you think)

The buttons are just so useful when reading one hand in the bed and the jacket-pocket size is awesome for chilling in the park (I don't have a garden). It's beyond my understanding that an old device from 2014 fit these two essential criteria while modern ones don't do that but provide so much useless features (from my point of view, ofc). I don't want a tablet with e-ink, I just want a e-book reader.

Any advice ?

I've been using my Sony PRS-900 Daily edition for 12 years now. I've wanted to replace it with something for a while now, but I can't find any well-reviewed ereaders with similar aspect ratios. All the 7" screens these days seem oddly wide to me, particularly when the L:W ratio of a paperback/hardcover book ranges between 1.6:1 - 1.7:1. Virtually every 6" and 7" ereader screen seems to be 1.35:1 or less. Are there any good ereaders out there with thinner screens, or am I just forced to edit the margins of the larger format screens?

Narrow Format Ereader?

- Inkpalm 5 - it’s small and light, side buttons seem to be where your hand would be naturally, but is it tiring to have such small screen for novel reading (although I have read novels on my iPhone), and does it matter that its android 8? Also gen 2 doesn’t seem like too much of a change? But it’s hard to tell and the aliexpress seller is happy to put it into English but not sure that means it’s the gen 2.
