Hi, I've seen nice and affordable Xiaomi air purifiers but they don't seem to be sold here in the US. I wonder if there are similar branches here, with similar price range and features.

All recent Xiaomi air purifiers have app and laser dust sensor. These two features seem to be very rare in the air purifiers sold in US. I'm not sure why, they seem like simple features to have.

The ones I'm using are very loud and don't seem to work for the room size they stated. I turn them on all day but dust is still everywhere in the air.

Please suggest some good air purifiers to buy in US, which have apps and laser sensors.

I would take the Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier Pro H over the 3H any day of the week. the Pro H is newer and a larger model. Its more likely to have filters around for a longer time.

After getting the Xiaomi, it "is" cheaper, Sensor is unreliable, plastic is cheaper quality and the over all "finish" isnt as nice. However, I care about the air filtration (does not have a prefilter) its a h13 filter with AC. it as a good brushless motor that creates CADR up to 600m3/h.

What do you recommend out of the two? If not those two then what brand? What is the best way of purchasing a Xiaomi Purifier if I am in the UK?

 Xiaomi was showing half the values of Philips at the beginning then settled to zero. I took a blanket and shook it well just between the devices. Philips went crazy to values over 200 but Xiaomi did not even budge!!! Overall, what is the purifier for if you do not know what the values are and whether it actually cleans the air. I would recommend to choose other device

 I was reading many reviews: it make work for some, but definitely not on mine device. I bought Philips air purifier that claims to have reliable sensor (reviews claim that, too). I made a small non-scientific experiment. I run them both in the same room

 Philips went crazy to values over 200 but Xiaomi did not even budge!!! Overall, what is the purifier for if you do not know what the values are and whether it actually cleans the air. I would recommend to choose other device. Unfortunatelly, I cannot return the device anymore. Will try to contact Amazon

Unreliable sensor makes the device (almost) useless

I received one for testing and it worked great! Finally a bypass for those annoying NFC filters! Im using one in my Xiaomi air purifier PRO and 3H!

Looks like there is some clever person that invented a modchip for those devices to replace the existing NFC reader board, forcing the device to see all filters as 100% remaining capacity/lifetime.

This enables you to use third-party filters or for example a filter cloth around an existing filter, essentially extending the filter-life alot.

Already tested it and it works great :)

I have the xiaomi air purifier with a carbon Hepa filter. The app is great and the purifier works great.

I'm very sensitive to cigarette smoke and really need to solve this problem once and for all. The odor fills up in my room quite quickly, and even just a little amount of it makes me sensitive to it. It seems to travel through (sometimes) the door, but most of the time through our heat (centralized, via furnace).  


Right now I'm looking at Mila Air. I've seen others recommend Austin and IQa but those are sadly out of my price range. I know there's also Terra-bloom / Vortex but I am not sure I understand how to use those? Are they filters for a custom purifier?  


Appreciate any recommendations...
