Looking to mainly use it with my laptop and turntable but would be cool if I could switch between music and tv if possible but not a necessary feature. $500 is the absolute most I’d like to spend, would be more comfortable near $300 unless more money would get me something way better.  This is one I've been really anticipating making. Obviously this is going to be a review of the Yamaha, A s 301, and you probably saw in the title that this is going to be a bit of a different perspective from Z reviews, because he's the only review I could in depth review. I could really find of this amp on YouTube and what I mean by the different perspective, from what Zee reviews did is Z. Reviews is a basically he's, a quote

 The bass was always a bit thin, even with the loudness control turned on. So, I got online and started looking for an amp that would sound good but also provide more oomph to my speakers. For about a month I went back and forth between the Marantz PM8006 and the Yamaha A-S801. The thing that turned my mind in favor of the Yamaha was the A-S701 at a lower price

Logitech speakers, cheapest avr from 1998 on Craigslist and then I’d buy the Vizio soundbar combo just for the sub and throw away the soundbar. I’d spend the rest of the money on as many months of tidal it can get.

An audiophile system simply can't be built for $1000, so I think one needs the best sound possible, while remembering that the music is more important than the equipment. So first, you need a source, a source which will give you access to the most music possible. That would be a Sonos Amp at $650. Now you have all the music in the world at your fingertips and an amp, so all you need are speakers. An excellent choice would be the Pro-ject Speaker Box 5 at $300. That leaves you with $50 for cables. For for $1000 you have a nice little starter system that will allow you to build and upgrade from there. Btw, I used to own a high-end audio shop and currently own 4 systems, the most expensive of which is worth over $30k. I'd listen to me. And I still use Sonos on all my systems; you'd be shocked what can be with 0's and 1's......

I was a bit apprehensive about buying this, as almost all the verified purchases have been made by people who are replacing equipment older than I am, some by as much as a decade. But don't let the reviews scare you; it's actually a pretty cool amp for music with decent power and clear sound. It's the same size as a modern A/V receiver with 7 little amps, but this one only packs two, but two big, powerful ones that are symmetrically laid out and backed by giant aluminum heat sinks and a massive transformer. It's mostly analogue and totally old school

I wanted it to be at least on a fighting chance and it's if the sound quality was bizarre, ly good, end more powerful and it just had some quirks. It would have been like equal, but it's just it's just losing to the onkyo. It'S just gon na lose

 So what does a 301 feature? It has a and B speaker out switch the yong-ki only had one set. This has two which you can select with the switch we've got bass treble balance, loudness knob, which we're going to get to your input, selector, which is digital volume, control, a remote control and a headphone out very, very similar to the 90/10 right okay. So where do we start? Because this has some [ __ ], that I'm like mmm mmm and this is gon na be in the yard sale buy? Like you don't know, most of the stuff I buy you on this channel comes from a patreon and my patrons. If you're supporting me, you get to buy the stuff that I'm done with, because I can't fit anymore

 They wanted like a completely different range of Yamaha that has like bluetooth in it. I'M like no, I'm not touching that yeah, let's go with exactly the same feature set and just different brand.
