Yeti Roadie 24

(For two people) Longest road trips will be around 3-5 days. Personal thoughts: If I go with the roadie 24, I could use it for meats and perishables and bring another smaller cooler for drinks since it’ll get used the most. If I go with the bigger one, I think the temp should be ok for meats and perishables along with drinks being pulled out every so often.

I don't really need the toughness since this cooler will live in my truck 24/7. So, I'd like to upgrade to a cooler that fits the dimensions needed, but sadly there are very few tall/thiin rotomolded coolers other than the Yeti roadie 24. I did find this cooler but I'm unsure of their performance temperature wise since there aren't a lot of reviews and since it's a knockoff brand, might have fake reviews.

Roadie 24 is my new favorite go to cooler when I’m not using my hauls. I recently sold my M30 as wasn’t a fan of the size, it’s pretty big in size and is just overall pretty awkward between that and the magnet. Even the ends of the magnet closure are super sharp as well. I’d use my backflip 24 over the M30 any day.

The Yeti Ice is amazing. I put my 4lbs block into the bottom of my Roadie 24 that had some cold water (from previously melted regular ice) in it. A couple hours later I pulled the Yeti Ice out and it was encapsulated in ice. It froze some of the water it was in.

I don't own a tundra, I plan on adding a 45 to my collection eventually but I have a roadie 24, which I brought to a party, stayed there over night, left the cooler in my hot trunk for 2 full days and pulled it out and there was still ice and the left over beers were still cold. So as long as you pre chill the cooler and the drinks and maybe put an ice pack at the bottom of the cooler the Roadie will hold ice for quite a while. I put 2 igloo ice packs at the bottom of the cooler and the idea behind the ice packs it that when the ice melts and the water hits the pack it refreezes and it does work.
