The display on this laptop is very straightforward. It&rsquo;s an IPS panel with a full HD (1,920-by-1,080-pixel) native resolution. The panel lacks touch input, and in this price tier, no other fancy features are included.  Again, not even as loud as my old laptop so it doesn't bother me at all.  WEIGHT: This is so lightweight! My old one was a bit heavy and clunky, so I appreciate the fact this is so light. The downside of that is that the casing does feel cheap. Like it might not survive getting dropped on the carpet

In our review of the Ice Lake Spectre x360 13 and Kaby Lake-G Spectre x360 15 models, we discovered fluctuating clock rates, frame rates, and fan noise when under high loads for a bumpy gaming experience. This Comet Lake-U Spectre x360 15 exhibits similar characteristics as its clock rates, frame rates, and fan noise would fluctuate as well when gaming. Power users looking for more consistent performance out of their laptops may want to avoid this particular Spectre configuration as a result.

Verdict

Now trimmer and lighter, HP’s Spectre x360 15 is a top-of-the-line convertible 2-in-1 that excels in just about every area.

 They ran frequently in my usage, even for general web surfing, though the fan noise is nonintrusive against the usual household background noise. The area just above the keyboard gets hot under the extended stress of benchmark testing, while the rest of the chassis (including the underside) gets warm, but not uncomfortably so.

6GHz base clock, and up to a 5GHz turbo clock) is a 45-watt chip that would be at home in a gaming notebook. Meanwhile, its 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti (Max-Q) graphics card provides enough oomph for 1080p gaming. (I&rsquo;ll address the practicality of using this PC for gaming later.)

 Since it requires they both be connected to a Wi-Fi network, it seems pretty duplicative of  existing cloud services.  Sarah Tew/CNET  I learned to type on a manual typewriter, and still pound the keys after all this time; when there's no travel, it really hurts my fingertips. So when I say  the keyboard has a nice amount of travel and feedback without inducing fatigue, there's your context. It's also backlit, which is really great since I sit in the dark

 It's faster than the 2016 model we tested -- but that one had a lower speed class of processor and graphics card. It incorporates a dual-core version of the i7, and if you look at the charts you can see where that lags behind the quad-core versions in the Razer Blade 14 and MacBook Pro. In practice, it's fine for the typical a-little-bit-of-everything type of use it's intended for.None so shiny You can find cheaper convertibles, but given the Spectre X360 15's 4K display, it's quite aggressively priced against models with similar configurations but only  QHD-resolution (or less) screens

really annoying. (Mouse works wonderfully) 2) the USB-C charging cable a) does not deliver the best performance and b) falls out all the time. This cable is not seated well, does not stay seated (even when on my lap and I'm not moving.
