That said, these are the games I've owned since purchasing them and the year I acquired them:

Modern Art (Korean edition) - great art on cards, large gavel, and heavy coins (although not stackable)

Its a ok game and interesting once you get into it, but the rules and instructions are very complicated to learn especially if you're trying to teach yourself (as opposed to playing with friends that have played it before). My husband and I are avid board gamers and we found it very confusing in the beginning. There are also lots of intricacies in taking your turn, taking "actions" etc which are hard to understand and/or keep straight. It's also not a quick playing game

**To The Death!**: Tiny small box with HUGE gameplay and variability. Solo players with interest in party synergies, absurd replayability and tactical combat should *not* overlook this one.

Arkham Horror LCG has interesting deck-building options, relatively understandable mechanics, and a great thematic feel to it. However, a lot of that isn't due to Arkham Horror's core set on its own - it's due to Arkham Horror plus lots and lots of expansions, many of which are better or worse depending on the specific one. If I could recommend one or two sets for play, this would be higher

Heavier game : **Pax Pamir 2e**. I love the game and the decisions it offers. Viticulture + Tuscany and Brass Birmingham get cut (BB getting cut isn’t super fair since it suffers from not many plays which makes it hard to decide if I’d keep it or not).

17- Terra Mystica: Played this once. Resounding "meh". Probably won't ever play this or Gaia Project again.

Age of Civilization has an interesting civilization drafting mechanic that varies with every setup, along with a half-dozen solo variants, tons of replay value & depth. Getting the right combo together can carry a player quite far.

There's a rule in Pax Pamir that encapsulates its genius. "Players are free to discuss the game during play and explicitly coordinate their actions. However, any agreed-upon deal should be considered non-binding." In other words, double-crossing is allowed! Pax Pamir puts you in the mind of an Afghan tribal leader, with only situational allegiance to your own government, or to the imperialist British or Russians

Cards are slightly longer and more narrow than standard cards, so take that into consideration when selecting (optional) plastic sleeves. I'm amazed at how well everything was designed. The side of the board has a puzzle piece type link, that allows you to quickly setup for 1-4 players. There are also optional tiles for a campaign style play and varients that add more advanced placement options

It has a lot in common with Inis regarding the shifting alliances, but it also has some signature Wehrle design ideas. It plays well at 2 with the Wakhan module that's in the box. And it scales very well up to 5p.
