Anker Soundcore Motion+ vs JBL Go 3

Brought the anker soundcore motion+ based on reviews to replace my ancient bose soundlink mini that died. The sound, even though newer bluetooth standard is no way near the rich attractive sound of the bose and I'm now sending it back. This Soundcore Motion Plus has an even more solid bass and clear treble and is a perfect size for our small living room. The bass boost is solid and with 30W of power should fill most spaces with thundering volume. Two devices can be linked for a true stereo effect, but for a small room the sound experience with a single unit is excellent The device is water and splash resistant for outdoor use, but gives piece of mind for use in my living room where spills from cats and grandkids are possible or if I wanted to take it to the kitchen. Love the speaker for what it is! Price is awesome and the sound quality is there! Bass is good for the size. My one problem is that the “JBL” lettering on the front came off and the stoppers on the bottom! Disappointed in the glue used to stick to the speakers fabric body and had to put tape over the letters. Other than that, it’s a perfect for travel and literally sticking in your pocket or attaching to your backpack. It’s worth it for a tight budget and you still want some quality sound!

you read that right but only when cranked to uncomfortable levels and bass heavy music. There are a couple possible reasons for this. I could be asking for the passive radiators to do too much (I have two EQs, after all)

The speaker manages not to sound thin overall, however, with some reasonable bass response and body to this track. At top volumes, the driver manages not to distort even when the enclosure vibrates powerfully.

Also worth mentioning: The Go 3 uses upgraded Bluetooth 5.1 while the Go 2 uses Bluetooth 4.1. Additionally, the Go 3's water resistance is IPX 67, not IPX 7

Afraid that this junction may fail at some point due to a wrong connection! This is a very weak point in my estimation for this speaker, being that it has to be charged often. With the default EQ setting, these were absolutely horrible sounding. By cutting some mids, I was able to get a decent sound (posted a picture of my settings) but still a bit boxy. The problem is, in stereo mode, only the master speaker changes with the EQ. This new 30 watt Soundcore+ is plenty loud even when climbing up a 6% grade with 40,000 pounds cargo and the huge engine is screaming and the giant fan is blasting like a turboprop at takeoff. I mistakenly bought an Oontz unit with 24 watts and it does not connect easily nor provide adequate clarity or volume, the Anker Soundcore connects effortlessly. Easy automatic reconnect even after my audio book is interrupted by a phone call. I've left the speaker on all night while I sleep and there's plenty of juice left for NPR news with coffee at 4 AM without plugging in the USB

Not really loud enough for outdoors. Bottom line: Meh! It's ok but nothing to write home about. I won't buy another one.
