Anker Soundcore Motion Boom vs Marshall Emberton

I am a fan of bass myself, and in combination with the elaborate complexity of percussive dimensions, the articulate and winding avenues of masterful bass rhythms are second to none. Still, the bass prominence is an obvious design choice for the XB43, and fortunately is executed well. Just know that should nearby (likely apartment situated) neighbors be a concern of yours, you'll not reap the full glory of this speaker without disturbing them.

Very disappointed. Especially for the name and price tag. It does have great sound quality, connectivity is good and so far I haven’t had any issues. I dislike the guitar riffs it randomly tosses out

Anker Soundcore Motion Boom for best bang for your buck. It's quite amazing the deep bass they get from this little speaker.

I listen to classic rock and 80s metal so hearing bass and the faint cymbals clearly is awesome. But don't get this thinking it's gonna like pump an outdoor party. For my money, the soundcore motion boom is great for that. This speaker would be great for indoors

I've reviewed three $100 Anker Soundcore portable Bluetooth speakers in the last year or so and they've all been quite good for that price. The Motion Plus is arguably the best-sounding compact Bluetooth for speaker for $100 while the Rave Neo, which appears to have been replaced by the Trance Go, works well for outdoor listening. Not very choosy about the Emberton, if I can get something better at a lower cost too. Emberton is on the lines because of Woburn (😍🤤).

.this has a been a huge frustration while using this speaker. If connectivity was more seemless, this would easily be a 5star speaker for me

I want to get a solid, loud and portable Bluetooth Speaker, I often read that the Motion Boom is pretty the best and loudest speaker in the price range.

Any thought on something a little louder and more bass for group picnics? Would prefer something that is waterproof and loud enough for 20 people.

*** Custom EQ is The Key Feature *** The way our ears hear music is why home stereos have a "Loudness Compensation" button to cut mid-range. Pro musicians & sound men do the same thing with graphic equalizers and the resulting curve resembles a "U" or a "smiley-face". Being able to do this with the Soundcore phone app's 9-band EQ is a "game changer". It transforms the sound … but only IF you know how to set it ("mid-scoop" is not one of the standard Presets … it needs to be created as a custom setting) As a suggestion to Soundcore, they will get even more enthusiastic, happy customers and great reviews if "Mid-Scoop" is added as one of the four standard Presets in a future firmware update

I really love the Bose sound, however, the Marshall Emberton holds its own especially at a significant discount to the Bose line. The mids and highs are superior while the bass is inferior. This is our “travel” speaker so for the price it’s a keeper. Placement is key

Just be aware of this depending on your uses, if you plan on having it more stationary make sure it will fit.
