 As some other reviewers have indicated, it does take a few passes to vacuum up as much moisture as possible. Would have rated this product higher had it not been for the false start. We don't consider the pump issue being related to shipping damage; there should be better quality control to ensure this kind of defect is addressed before product distribution.

 We were able to pick up the unit within a couple days so the prompt repair was appreciated. It was however an unnecessary hassle given that it was a brand new item. It certainly would have been more frustrating had there not been a repair centre located within our city. False Start

This is our second carpet cleaner, and it replaced a Hoover Steam Vac. The attractive feature of this unit is the removable portion with the hose. You can use it as an upright carpet cleaner, or remove the portable unit and spot clean things like pet stains. The brush roller does a good job of scrubbing the carpet in upright mode

Works for soaking your carpets

 Filling the clean is fast and easy and dumping the dirty is even faster with less parts in the way that could break or wear out. Just make sure you vacuum good first and you should have no problems.

Other than awkward angled screw holes to put it together and the tank sizes need to be switched around since you get a quarter of dirty water out of one full clean on medium carpet it works good on carpet and the lift off works awesome on spots or vehicles. I’ve tried other shampooers and they all leave the carpet moist but this one makes up for it with the lift off and ease of use.  I wish Bissell would turn the cap of their carpet shampoo into a measuring cup. It would sure make things easier. I ended up using what I hoped was about a forth of the 8 ounce bottle that was included. Not a big deal, but one that could easily be remedied by Bissell

 I was able to clean the whole upper level of my home in a few hours and it was amazing! As of right now the floor cleaner works but the attachment has absolutely no suction. I can't even get it to suck water off a tile floor. There is a suction gate that says to clean regularly; for as much as I have used this machine already the screws to take that gate off are getting stripped. It started out great, but I need to be able to use this EVERY time the puppy has an accident and as of right now the detachable portion is useless to me

Want to love it but...

 This one has the four screws you’ll need taped right to the support handle. The only thing you’ll need is a Phillips head screw driver. I used one with a magnetized tip as the screws “disappear” into the machine. There’s no guesswork because there are what I call international symbols to indicate where the four screws go

  Mind you, I’m not always easy to help because if I don’t have any idea what I’m asking about you really have to listen. Maya was perfect. I wanted to know how I was going to clean the dirt that I got underneath the plastic that sucks up the water. Of course I wasn’t particularly clear, but she certainly knew what I was getting at

 Another big pro for me is the auto empty bin system, which makes me feel like the robot, is more independent and requires less attention, which i think other people will also appreciate. The bin itself seems to be a step up from the cheaper systems. I'Ve seen recently like with the nibot and company in terms of design. I say that because of the placement of the hole which seemed less prone to clogs, and it just seemed to be of higher quality in general, the debris is collected into a disposable bag, which you receive

 But it's not perfect with my main complaints being that the side brush knocks things around a bit more than i like, and it just wasn't. As efficient as some of its more expensive competition with a carpet deep, clean test, where i embed sand into medium pile carpet and weigh the bins before and after a five minute run, it scored a 77 which is above average for its price range and about average. If price is not taken into account, moving on to the negative stuff, its power, like its suction and airflow numbers were below average and the main place it showed up was with heavy debris like cat litter and sand, especially when using its standard power mode where it Wasn'T very effective at all. If i used max power, it was better, but it's not ideal, since that would lower the battery life and make it louder

 I got a iHome Nova and while its nice I do wish I had gotten the bagless Shark. That said there is a con to bagless and that is getting really REALLY dirty filters so those have to be changed/washed eventually.

Between the two of these which would be better for lots of pet hair? 2 shihtzus, 2 lab mixes, one with several allergies that cause him to shed a lot. I vacuum 3+ times a day and I’m losing my mind. I’d like something self emptying. I’ve read so many reviews of so many different ones but I’m still confused. Any advice is appreciated! TIA!

Between Shark IQ self empty XL or iRobot Roomba i4+ for lots and LOTS of pet hair?

 It just sucks them up or drags them out of place. Hard floors and standard carpeting seem fine, but any rugs or slight variations in the surface height (we have a couple of cat trees with bases that are about an inch tall) can cause problems. Basically every time it vacuums it gets stuck at least one, today when mopping it got stuck about 8 times

It's difficult for me to say how good a job it does. This is the 3rd robot vacuum I've used, one from my son was junk, the second is a Shark that seems to do a good job, and then this one: - Relatively loud, much louder than the Shark - 2-3 inches larger diameter than the Shark, so it can't get into corners quite as well - Only has one rotating brush on the bottom, where the Shark has two - Will mop the floor, which is a nice feature, but as it only uses water (no cleaning solution), I doubt it does a particularly good job. Not So Impressive

Wish I had enough space to say all my thoughts! I have had a Shark irobot & now this IHome Vac, unfortunately, both have issues connecting to the app. I called customer service & they confirmed the issue w/ IHome Vac & said it would likely be resolved in a week, so unable to talk about app connection. PRO'S: does a good job of cleaning carpet, like that it has a remote for those w/o smartphones/app issues, strong suction on carpets (stronger than my old Shark), u can attend to other chores while IHome is vacuuming,  no clunky/bulky vacuum to transport for cleaning, floor not overly damp after mopping, doesn't hit walls/surfaces hard, not super loud. CONS: instructions/pictures on Vac usage are confusing/vague, ordering extra bags/mop pads will get expensive, no place in instructions does it tell you model/serial # for replacement parts, app connection issues, remote doesn't come w/ batteries = make sure you have 2 AAA's, mopping feature left my carpet damp as Vac travelled back to base

 My little dog was not pleased with this so if you have dogs who will terrorize the device, it’s best to use it with them outside or kenneled. Also, when it goes back to base and jettisons the dirt into the bag inside the canister, I jumped. I wasn’t prepared for that noise. It was not ridiculously loud; just unexpected

 It’s incredibly easy to setup and comes with everything attached (for sweeping), including a bag that’s already attached in the waste bin. Setting up individualized areas is really easy too. You let it make a full pass for sweeping and it creates a map layout of the entire floor area. From there, within the app, you can see the whole floor plan and the exact sweeping pattern it used

 Access several tutorial videos within the app’s help section on just about any question you could have about the operation and maintenance of this device.  Quick setup instructions accompany the device. It’s incredibly easy to setup and comes with everything attached (for sweeping), including a bag that’s already attached in the waste bin. Setting up individualized areas is really easy too

Not very quiet but definitely very versatile and worth it

 What I do like about it is it's convenient! It does what it's supposed to do...clean the floors and carpet

A nice device

 It’s priced about the same as others vacuums now that there are more on the market the price has come down considerably. It had good suctions power, makes about the same amount of noise which is not much and easy to operate. However, it didn’t automatically go onto any of the no-pile rugs as we thought it would since they are all so very thin but did a nice job on the wood floor and tile.

This is our second robot vacuum. We still have the first one but now that we have a larger home, we thought 2 would be better than one. It’s priced about the same as others vacuums now that there are more on the market the price has come down considerably. It had good suctions power, makes about the same amount of noise which is not much and easy to operate
