This does require the use of the Sonos app. While the app is pretty streamlined for the most part, I feel that they can definitely make it better. To use it, you must have a Sonos account. After setting that up, you can add the Roam as a device and set it up to hook up to your wifi network

I think this is due to the design of the passive radiators. There are 3 instead of 2 now. I think Bose are pushing the limit of what the speaker can do and it is a balancing act they usually win but this speaker is not the case. It is that resonating frequency that annoys me because it is so loud compared to all other frequencies

Some portable speakers can look a little garish, but the Sonos Roam retains the company's understated design aesthetic.

BTW, would have bought the Sonos move but it was too big to get down here. Had a Sonos one and that had no problem with their voice control. If you want to use this in the Caribbean or South America you're out of luck.
