This was a gift for my wife and she couldn’t get it set up without my help. The Marshall app AND the Alexa App are both required, not optional. Just suck it up and do that. Alexa is actually linked through the Marshall App which was a little confusing because the setup didn’t happen for me seamlessly

If you read up on the SDK, they were just greedy and lazy. You're probably looking at this bluetooth speaker the same way I did -the namesake, the aesthetics and, well, the namesake. Let me save you some trouble -if aesthetics is at the top of your list, then it's a pretty cool looking bluetooth speaker. Some of the others look a bit cheap and clunky so I get it. The trim on the older Stanmore feels thicker and better applied. The toggle switch has been replaced with a soft touch switch (do NOT like this, feels cheap). The addition of an app to control the equalizer is lame. The older version looks, feels, and functions better

The main reason I bought this was the mini amp design. I bought the white version and it has a classy cool factor.

I just wish it were about $100 less. The price may be justifiable but it won't leave you feeling like you got a bargain.
