 On a top here are two load lifter straps. There's a sternum strap and there is a hip strap as well. On the side is a very elastic what about a pocket? one over here as well. and there are four compression straps, one here, one here and two on the other side

 Finally, I Think the back panel is just really awesome. Osprey is a company that usually does a lot of trekking and hiking backpacks and while this isn't one of them, this is meant for everyday use. You can tell that they've taken the knowledge from those tracking and hiking backpacks and applied it a little bit to these backpacks. and I think the back panel is one of those things that's kind of carried over really well

 you can put whatever bike in there that's just a small little compartment in the top. then it comes to one of the main compartments now or missile actually so in front of that one. this other one is just a really. this is kind of a handy stuff so we've got little pockets in there

 You know it's in the middle of the bag, so you don't have to worry about padding in the front or back of it, because you have a full pocket and frame sheet in the back and all this in the front so plenty safe there, and it also Is floating you can see the end of it there, and this pocket fits a 16 inch macbook, no problem, so a great pocket to add in there. Otherwise, if you are using this for more everyday carry, then you can throw you know, documents or anything like that. Anything you just want to keep a little flatter there and then in the back. We have the laptop compartment here

 So this is a pretty deep pocket on top, so plenty room to throw any larger tech items like a laptop charger or anything like that. Moving on to the main compartment uh again, you do need to undo the compression straps to get at this one. Just a nice large compartment here uh we have a packable hoodie and two packing cubes that fit in just fine, no problem there, ton of room in this pocket and even in the back, you have a laptop compartment, there's actually a dedicated laptop compartment in the back. So if you want to opt for a hydration bladder and the laptop you can take your laptop from the designated laptop compartment move it into this one it'll keep it nice and safe

 You kind of just have a smaller strap here now it does kind of stay out of the way a little bit more because it's smaller. But it's really more designed to just keep the bag close to your back versus providing a ton of support and then moving up. We have the sternum strap here again same sort of thing. We don't really need the sternum strap to be too robust, but you know just nothing too special about this one

 However, this bag is not conducive for commuting or every day carrying as stated in the description. For one, the pockets aren't easily accessible and you have to remove the bag completely to retrieve belongings. Additionally, the backpack strap material is quite abrasive to bare skin which means you can't wear anything without sleeves. And the metal frame means that you can't just fold it or tuck it away -- but it will stop your laptops or papers from being crushed

Best for Long Stays, not Daily Commuting

 1. The outside pocket only has a single zipper slider instead of double, it's a bit inconvenient to reach since the zipper runs always halfway down the side of the bag. Please add double zippers back. (I've added some instant zipper sliders to remedy this myself) 2

Lovely bag with a few design flaws

Does not fit a Dell Precision 7730 laptop in the laptop sleeve (1.18" thick by 16.30" wide by 10.77" deep) but will fit in the main compartment

I got this for my commute to work (train with 45 minutes of easy walking. Bag isn't bad in terms of how it's broken up. As others have said the "kickstand" is pretty useless. It also has a ton of chest straps, waist straps, adjustor straps that are thin, basically useless, but always getting in the way

Fiddly for an everyday pack

 Now I'm just using the bag with the compression straps tucked away because they're such a hassle. 3. The adjustable straps are very long in order to fit different body sizes, but they tend to get caught on stuff and fly around. I've added a bunch of black hair-ties to hold them down

Got this in the black, well constructed as expected with Patagonia. Only reason I gave it a 4 stars. Is the black on the model is none of the colors as advertised for sale It's straight black or blue as not shown on body. Great bag though, many trips could be had with this backpack
