I use an Osprey Tropos for urban trekking and train travel. Design wise, it's not very big, almost like a school backpack where it looks like you're doing every day carry. It's all black and you could comfortably corporate travel with it. The hip belt is small and I tie it away.

I was having the same issue and considered this one as well, I carry nearly the same stuff as you and have an Osprey Tropos now. Can stand on its own (with the laptop protected because its "floating" if you know what I mean), better for your back and easy to carry the weight because of the frame insert. It feels a bit more... secured and organized compared to the Fjallraven one. I definitely recommend it.

I bought an Osprey Tropos[Osprey (you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere). Pros (or at least my favorite parts):. - I'm pretty sure Osprey has a lifetime repair/replacement service if your backpack is damaged/breaks. People have said really good things about their customer service and they seem to want to fix the problem.

I just picked up the osprey tropos. Love it. It is a little lacking in the organizational area, but the fact that it stands on it's own greatly outweighs the organization for me. Also, the suspended/mesh back panel is very comfortable.
