The Sony WI-C600N Wireless are the best neckband headphones for working out that we've tested. These headphones have a decent build quality with a lightweight and malleable neckband. They have a stable and breathable in-ear fit that doesn't create too much pressure in your ears.

Out of the box, these well-built and decently comfortable earbuds have a warm and dark sound profile well-suited for vocal-centric genres like podcasts. However, if you prefer a different sound, their companion app offers a graphic EQ and presets so that you can tweak them to suit your tastes. Their continuous battery life of over eight hours is fairly solid, and they have a standby mode that can help you save battery life when you're not actively using them.

I tested these against a $40 pair of bluetooth in-ear monitors (Anker brand) and the Bose (wired) QC 20 that I've had for several years now. My overall impression is that I expected more, given the price point. My main gripes are that the volume is perhaps 2/3’s of Bose QC 20, and those headphones get dinged for being overly quiet. These headphones really don't have much upper-range volume at all

Their ANC feature also does a very good job of isolating you from a range of background noise, from the low rumble of bus and plane engines to ambient conversations. They also support NFC for easier pairing and can connect simultaneously with two devices.

The Sony WI-C600N Wireless are okay around-the-neck in-ear headphones that have a decent audio reproduction and ANC feature. They're versatile for various everyday uses, but their neckband design might not be for everyone. They also have a disappointing six-hour continuous battery life, and they take about two hours to charge. On the upside, you can use them for commuting or at the office since they block out a good amount of ambient noise, and they're compatible with the Sony mobile app, which offers plenty of customization and control options

These headphones last 8.6 hours continuously and have a standby mode to help conserve battery life when you're not using them.

- The housing seems pretty durable and it seems well sealed, I do not see any openings for rain water to get into. CONS: - In my opinion, the noise-cancelling is non-existent. I tested these while walking along a busy highway and I just do not hear any difference what so ever. - I did not detect any difference with ambient sound either

The Sony WI-1000XM2 are the newest model of the WI-1000X line. Improving on design more than hardware, their silicone neckband and carrying case look sleek and refined. Unfortunately, these headphones have a decreased battery life when compared to their predecessor, even if they charge slightly quicker. Their sound profile is also darker and lacks bass

that's just another cable I have to carry around. The battery life is okay, at 2-3 hours with noise-cancelling on. They feel comfortable around my neck, and the magnetic feature on the earpieces themselves allow them to connect, keeping them from falling off your neck when not in use. Tonal quality of good

They will not start put, and while I have them on they are uncomfortable regardless of what squishies I try or how I turn them. They constantly fall out. I couldn't share a review of the sound quality simply because I can't wear them. For that they get a thumbs down from me, dawg

As at least one other reviewer noted, I find it hard to "feel" the buttons on the collar: they're on the inside, where they're not easy to reach. And at this price point, I think Sony should have included a cloth carrying pouch to protect the buds when you're not wearing them. I have deducted one star for this omission. Still, folks seeking a comfortable and effective noise-canceling headphone solution will find a lot more to like than dislike with these Sony's

Who thought 2 is enough these days? * Worse, switching devices is a pain, you have to disable Bluetooth on the device you are connected to in order to connect to the other. Contrast that to Bose where you tap and hear the headphones cycle through devices, stop to connect. I never realized how well Bose does this until discovering how poorly Sony does (and apparently this is true of most headphones other than Bose). * But at least you can plug in the audio cable to connect to your laptop and use a wired connection

Overall, this is a quality wireless earbud set and the earbuds are comfortable to me, sound great and do a good job of ANC with a good seal.
