Sony WI-1000XM2

Especially when being on the train or at construction sites or something like that, the difference is like night and day. I have not tested the IER-M7 but i assume they are the same or at least as close as possible. After experiencing the IER-M9 (which i bought for the sound, not the isolation), i gonna sell my WI-1000XM2, i have no use for them anymore.

The Sony WI-1000XM2 are the newest model of the WI-1000X line. Improving on design more than hardware, their silicone neckband and carrying case look sleek and refined. Unfortunately, these headphones have a decreased battery life when compared to their predecessor, even if they charge slightly quicker. Their sound profile is also darker and lacks bass.

It's not truly wireless, but you can aim the mic directly at your mouth and have decent voice quality nevermind the noise around you (just move the mic closer). Some sport Bluetooth earbuds that wraps around your neck have the mic closer to the mouth so it is also an option. There is also cable/adaptater that can do that like the Fiio LC-BT1. For Sony product, you might have a better experience with the WI-1000XM2 or the WI-SP510, but I didn't try them so I cannot tell.

The best earbuds for phone calls with a wireless design that we've tested are the Sony WI-1000XM2 Wireless. Finally the WI-1000XM2 being a neckband style headset, you can't really loose the earbud, where as on the WF-1000XM4, you can loose it more easily. Personally I'd get the WI-1000XM2, but if Sony offered a WF headset with an amature driver and a regular one like the WI, I'd get that, but the WF is a good model.
