Great travel backpack

 Plus, the Osprey is unable to stand upright on its own (due to not having a flat bottom) and the Tortuga can. Thus, making it easy to put the bag down on the floor when not carrying it.  -comfortable carry-on bag that is designed as a minimal backpack. Can be incognito from budget airlines and can blend into a crowd of people in a city without looking like a tourist

 Though the Osprey had a better harness/waist strap system, but for the size of bag, the Tortuga's removable waist straps works just fine. Most times I don't even use the waist straps unless I know I will be walking for over 20+ minutes. Plus, the Osprey is unable to stand upright on its own (due to not having a flat bottom) and the Tortuga can. Thus, making it easy to put the bag down on the floor when not carrying it

I was torn between this and the Osprey Farpoint 40L. After trying both of them out, the Tortuga won. Though the Osprey had a better harness/waist strap system, but for the size of bag, the Tortuga's removable waist straps works just fine. Most times I don't even use the waist straps unless I know I will be walking for over 20+ minutes

Best Travel Backpack

 Bag was comfortable and secure, travelled well around the city and doesn’t seem as big as it is. Highly recommend for travelers who want a lot of room but don’t want to check a bag. If you don’t have inserts of your own you might want to buy them to help maintain shape structure but overall highly recommended.

I took the 45L bag from the US to Rio and back as a carry-on bag. No issues from the airlines and I had the bag full to max weight with equipment and clothing. Bag was comfortable and secure, travelled well around the city and doesn’t seem as big as it is. Highly recommend for travelers who want a lot of room but don’t want to check a bag

Comfortable, well designed

Barely tipping the scales at 3.0 pounds, the ULA Catalyst is a great pack for lightweight enthusiasts. Although this pack is incredibly light, it comfortably carries a hefty load for long stretches between resupplies. ULA packs are well known in the trail community and are loved for having the features thru-hikers want, like massive zippered hip belt pockets, a large stretchy mesh front pocket, and huge side water bottle pockets that can each hold two tall one-liter bottles. Heck, for an upcharge, they will even embroider your trail name on their packs. There are many customized options, including some fun color combinations, if you're so inclined. This is all great stuff, but when all is said and done, this pack scores so well in our review simply for being lightweight, capable, comfortable, and feature-filled.  
We downright love this pack, but we'll acknowledge that it may not be a perfect fit for everyone. If you appreciate the breathability of a trampoline-style suspension, you will probably want to look elsewhere. This pack also has no top lid, but we still found ample storage for on-the-go items. This pack gave the Blaze 60 a serious run for its money.

 Well, gee, is that very fair to its sibling backpacks like The Catalyst, the Om, and even the Cdt. Yeah, sorry kiddos. In fact, over recent years, Ula Circuit has ranked as the most popular backpack among Pct through hikers according to annual surveys conducted by the folks at Halfway Anywhere. But in the midst of so much competition, does the circuit still live up to its type? Keep watching and you'd be the judge

 Now, as for me, I purchased a circuit about two years ago, and this pack has come with me on every trip since. Now that's included a lot of weekend adventure trips, but it's also included a week-long high route in the wind rivers of Wyoming and I've had this pack out in a variety of environments and over different kinds of terrain. It's been under the sun and under the rain. It's been on and off trail

 Things like this might include your sleeping pad, a tent, or even a bear canister, or if you're like me, I like to use it for my camp chair. Alright, opening up the inside for a look at the interior. Now the main compartment has a pretty spacious 40 liters of space now that only counts up to the frame. it does have an extendable collar that does give you almost 10 liters more

 Across top of that closure is what I call an eye style compression strap, and that too is pretty standard for good mini backpacks out there. And what this is used for is not just cinching down the top of the pack, but it can also be expanded and used to hold larger items that you might not be able to fit into the interior of the pack.  Alright, so I just crammed all of/\s/ that stuff in the mesh pocket right here on the/\s/outside and I actually still have a little room/\s/ for a few more things in the top if I wanted it's/\s/quite secure in there I don't think anything would/\s/ fall out of that I Love the fact that I can just/\s/reach in there in the day and get stuff out and I/\s/ have to go zip zip zip. no zipper is going to break/\s/this mesh feels really good also the side pockets/\s/ on this one they've got little cinches so you can/\s/tighten them down right there and there's my cook/\s/ kit, hillbilly pot and everybody right in there/\s/and that goes into that pocket on this circuit/\s/ and that makes me so happy. This mesh pocket will/\s/hold a lot too. So great thing about these packs: A/\s/ lot of people think they're going to miss having/\s/their top pocket I know my old Kelty packs it had/\s/ a top bin on it that locked down that had a zipper/\s/around the top the lid

 There's those rain pants/\s/ again, cram those in. Take this rain jacket right/\s/here cram that in and I honestly think the pocket/\s/ on this circuit actually holds more than the one/\s/on the catalyst.
