Anker Soundcore Select Pro

The Soundcore Select Pro, I think it's worth a buy. The price on it kind of varies.

The headphones must be closed back. They will be used at home with my Lenovo X1 Carbon ultrabook so ANC or wireless isn't necessary, however low impedance is.

I just bought an Anker Select Pro, one of the Wallyworld's BF deals, and it was perfect the first day I tried it. Today, just one day later, the sound cuts out frequently. I have tried placing my phone really close to it, activating airplane mode on my phone, restarting the phone, and resetting the speaker (by pressing the Bluetooth and power buttons at the same time for 3 seconds) to no avail. I really like the speaker and especially at the price I got it, but it's not practical to keep it if it will have these issues.

Soundcore Select Pro (similar to motion boom). Had a DIY portable PA system on the bicycle with six tens that would bring the cops to the park. Probably too old for that now. Made a few experimental boomcase speakers from old suitcases but they were bulky & kind of funky and honestly not able to compete with an Aiwa Exos 9/Hyperboom/Jbl Partybox ect... Would get the Minirig system but I want a more convenient all in one form factor and built in room correction.

Really, nobody in 2019 (and beyond) should be buying them. Either go with a different brand or save up for Bose’s newest earbuds which fix many of the SS Free problems (except you still can’t use them independently).

I loved it, until I killed it. So I'm in the market for a new one.

My bluetooth pair are a pair of Anker Soundcore and they sound good and weren't super expensive. My buddy commutes by bike and wears bluetooth headphones but you need the kind with the little rubber arm that helps them stay in. They make ones that go behind the ears and ones that have the arm that holds on inside the ear lobe. ​.
