I play Japanese pop music off the Tune-in App, so not the highest quality stuff believe me.

Using mostly in a bedroom.

I have the Big Jambox but that is done for as its so old and broken now. Its going on ebay for parts.

I have the UE Megaboom but that is ahem, being used by another person right now. Otherwise its amazing.

Speaker must have headphone jack.

I also have modified iPods that I want to use so I need a headphone jack for sure.

I can be easily swayed by a Black Friday sale for sure.

I want to get something reliable where the battery will last a long time, as in years.

I am not rough on my electronics and they rarely leave my room. The Big Jambox is only broken because its been overused, and when I say overused I mean overused. The Jambox has static and the battery does not last very long now. I won my big Jambox in a contest so I believe I had one of the first round of this product. I really loved the Big Jambox. No kids in the house. The speaker will be moved around a bit.

I was considering a Bumpboxx Ultra and there is an exclusive model on Walmart dot com for $199 and this is really tempting because I love the look of an old school boombox but I hear the quality is not the best. Spending $200 on something from Walmart may not be the best idea for obvious reasons. I mean I could just go to the official site and get it there also, in a different color.

JBL Charge 4 or the JBL Extreme 2, but with the prices hovering around $199 for the Extreme 2 that looks like a better value than the Charge 4.

I like the Anker Motion Boom with the handle too, but it needs to have a headphone jack.

I am looking for a new speaker, advice?

Perfect for low to med high volume listeners

FWIW, I like the Trance Go a lot with custom eq settings, but find that it distorts a fair amount above 85-90% volume. The Mifa is actually just as loud in a much smaller package and doesn’t distort as much, but has significantly less bass and sounds muddier than the Trance at lower to mid volumes.

 I have been using it for almost a month now. It highlights the richness of the music and she strong bass. It also enhances the vocals in any song you play on it. I have used this amazing speaker both indoor and outdoor

I've been researching and comparing about 10 different Mid sized portable speakers for about 18 months. I started with the top brands and went through the reviews and the comparisons in news articles and Youtube videos. I also didn't want to go over the $149 limit in my selection. I was very much pleased to discover the Soundcore Trance Go

Can confirm, Soundcore's mid-size party speaker, the Trance Go, offers by far the best audio quality I've ever heard from a Bluetooth speaker. This is coming from an entry-level audiophile, but even I can tell you that it comes with slightly higher fidelity, smoother bass and punchier treble than even the newest UE Boom.

I was looking for similar specs...ended up with a Vifa Helsinki.  Dont buy that. Check out the Soundcore motion+ instead.

I was actually put off by the price (too low) didnt think it would be good enough for my ears at that price. I was wrong.  Is amazingly good, an le@ than half price of what you want to spend - so get two and stereo pair them.

Silk dome tweeters, active crossovers, Independent amps i think, trebles shoot high, super clear sound, usb-c charging, waterproof. (I never thought id find a high fidelity waterproof speaker- i was wrong, things have changed)

Or if you dont mind more hassle, then a pair if minirigs. If you prefer simplicity- Motion+

Sony XB-43 ,.   Theres the main selling point of this speaker is the EXTRA BASS setting but the real winner on this speaker is the "Live"  mode technology. I've seen "live" modes in all sorts of devices and set ups over the years and wasn't expecting much, I had the speaker 2 weeks before I said, oh haha , live mode sure well give it a go fully expecting to be going back to extra bass setting because thsts what sounds good. U haven't gone back since,,  it expands the soundstage , widens it and wraps around you.  Look into it people are discovering it more and more and reviewers don't tend to let on about it. 
Also when in Live it isn't doing the extra bass , but still you can eq the bass up and down in the app and obviously the mids and treble.

I feel like most speakers tend to emphasize basses, but I just want a well-balanced clear sound that will respect the original music and the original mix. Can I find that in good quality for around 300 usd or less?

<p>Edit I don&#39;t need something to party with 50 people, mosty to use in the room</p>

<p>Edit 2: I’m in a place where I cannot listen to music loudly. So I’m more into something that will fill the room without being loud. </p>

<p>Edit 3: I went for the Motion+, I will see how they sound when I get them, but I’m still open to information. </p>

Great sound! A bit bulky.

Trance Go is the most powerful of those speakers and gets to 98dB. I can’t find any information on the max dB for the other two. All would be clear at high volumes. 

I have a couple of the Soundcore Rave Neo (Trance Go with lights) and they get very loud with great clarity. You’ll need to EQ them with the app to get the best sound (this goes for all the models you’re looking at). Highly recommended.

Looking for a speaker for softball

I currently have an old Bose Colour Soundlink from 2017 that doubles as my monitor speaker connected through Aux for my PC and PlayStation and it serves me well enough, but the speaker lacks volume when I take it to parties. I wanted to replace it but I saw that a lot of new Bluetooth Speakers such as the JBL Flip 5 and the UE Boom 3 lack Aux ports.  


I just want to replace the Colour Soundlink with something better still wanna use it with my monitor. I was considering going completely Bluetooth but the PlayStation doesn't let you and I don't wanna hassle with adapters and stuff.  

Please do let me know what options I have. Slender form factors like the Boom 3's are preferred.
