AOC 24G2

The lack of a curve is a bigger issue, mainly if you want to use this as a productivity monitor or for text consumption, sitting dead center of the monitor, the farthest inch inch on both sides of the monitor can get very uncomfortable to read(I'd have more problems with it if this was my only monitor or if i actually used it to consume text content, I have an hp vh240a and a aoc 24g2 as my side panels that i consume text on), gaming wise though i have absolutely no problems and its fucking fantastic. It also helps having a 30inch deep desk or a chair that you can sit back and away from. backlight bleed can be a problem, I actually brought two of these to pick the best of the two and the one i sent back had the worst backlight bleed i have ever seen, a good 40 percent of the monitor was nothing but bleed, luckily the other one i kept had minimal blb and where it did have some it was along the edges.

I think the only differences between the two are that the 24G2 has regular Freesync (and is not listed on Nvidia's website as G-Sync Compatible) and the Y25-25 has Freesync Premium (but is listed as G-Sync Compatible). Bottom line, if you're waiting for an IPS with a super high refresh rate and is G-Sync Compatible/Freesync that is sub $300, this is it.

My current desktop monitor is the AOC 24G2. It's not the most comfortable screen to look at but it's still usable with the brightness at the lowest setting. Meanwhile, the new laptop I just got, the [Lenovo Legion is really killer on my eyes.

It's good. I primarily use an Acer Pred 1440p 165hz IPS monitor, and I got this monitor a month ago to use for another PC. I paid nearly $400 for my Acer and was blown away by the clarity and colors. This is nearly on the same level since it's 24 inches and 1080.

After a few months of research I came into conclusion that AOC 24G2 is perhaps the best choice in 1080p category. Apparently it has really good image quality and is obviously good for gaming.
