 I mean, like, wrist computers. With Those things, I usually have to check whether it can last more than 12 hours or whether it can open apps in less than 10 seconds or respond to a text message, or if the software is buggy as hell. All That stuff was actually pretty bad in the very first Apple Watch, but it quickly got turned around, So now, Apple gets to work on filling out more advanced features. It's like the Apple Watch is in high school and is taking AP courses while everybody else is repeating the seventh grade for the third time

 Now, if you have a magnetic watch band, that can mess with it a bit, but, you know,, magnets. The Biggest new feature in watchOS is the App Store, which lets you install apps without having to, you know,, pull out your phone, except for the first time that you use the App Store on the Apple Watch, where you have to enter your password on your phone. And Then sometimes, you install apps on the Apple Watch, and it needs its, like, parent app on the phone in order to work for the first time. It's not completely independent yet, is what I'm saying

 Now, the big question is, does that always-on screen hurt the battery life? And My answer is that it doesn't seem to hurt much. Apple Claims that this still gets the same 18 hours of battery life that every Apple Watch is supposed to get. And It does for me,, even with kind of heavy usage. But It doesn't get much more than that

Apple Watch Series 5 review: the best smartwatch

I’ve tried Fitbit Ionic, Versa, Garmin Fenix, Garmin Instinct, Numerous Suunto watches, Apple watch 5, Polar Vantage, Coros Apex Pro, Samsung fit etc. For this day i still think Fitbit has the overall good and nice health features. I liked Apple watch but got bored to charge it all the time.

I don’t. I didn’t want all of those added apps and I hated charging mine every night. Plus I got it free so I didn’t lose out on giving it to my s/o. 

Fitbit fixed the charging issues with their magnetic couplings. I hope their durability went up because I had four watches just die on me in the past. The support did replace 3/4 watches I was just too exhausted to go through the motions for the 4th. 

I use mine mainly for fitness, specifically for swimming. What happened in the past is that sand would often get in the watch and would inhibit charging the watch. 

While I wish it tracked HR in the pool, I wasn’t willing to pay 599 for one that does. I do find that HR isn’t as accurate as others but for the discounted price I paid it’s something I can overlook.

I use the Fitbit inspire 2 and Fitbit luxe because i like the community platform and long charge. I too am an avid analog watch collector. I will usually switch the inspire 2 to clip mode if I want to wear one of my nice watches. I usually do this a few times a week or if I have business meetings with clients where I want to look more professional

I switched from a Fitbit to an Apple Watch for about 6 months before switching back. Something about sleep tracking and having steps being the main goal rather than closing rings is better for me and I also enjoy the badges more on Fitbit lol. The longer battery life is also better for me as I hated charging every night. I don’t think I’ll ever leave Fitbit again.

I miss it a little bit, but I really do like my new Fitbit Luxe. Plus I still have my Apple watch so I can switch whenever I'm in the mood.

I have a versa 2 since 2 years, first one bricked and I’m seriously considering to buy an aw se to go with my iPhone 11, I bought last year. 
I feel like Fitbit doesn’t quite blend well into either ecosystem and that shows.

No, I don’t miss it. 

I switched back to Fitbit from Apple watch 6 for the same reason. I wanted a device focused on fitness. I missed the weekly progress/stats, in depth sleep data, and highest speed when cycling (why on earth does apple refuse to give you such simple info as fastest speed during a cycle??!). Overall, Fitbit gathers all of the information in one place, no need to get a bunch of additional apps to track what you want.  

My boyfriend has gone through the same experience. He ditched his apple watch for a Garmin and he’s much happier with it - same reasons, exercise tracking. 

Only thing to keep in mind, Fitbit charge 5 is not even close to the apple watch’s interface. It can feel quite dated, but that doesn’t bother me.

I have been using an AW2 and AW4 for the past 4 years or so. In this time, I have neglected all of my nice, conventional watches. I am considering a Charge 5 as I really just want an activity tracker so I can resume wearing a traditional watch as well. The updated features of the Charge 5, slimmer look, and 7 day battery life are enticing. 

Any thoughts from those that switched or use both?

Ex Apple Watch users… you miss it?

Cheap watch strap.

 Apple just saying. But overall, honestly, it's It's kind of similar to that iphone 11 review where like it's an Apple watch like you already know what it does. It's the same design, some subtle tweaks, and really one main new feature. I think, uh, the fact that I've disabled the always-on display so often is kind of hilarious

 But I don't need any more proof than the fact that when I turned it off, I was getting to noon with 90 plus percent battery life left, which is incredible. And that's that's legitimately two day battery life that I wasn't getting when I turned always on back on. So that's something I've noticed at this point. I kind of just turn it on when I want to and then turn it off When I know I'm going to be having a longer day, it's only a quick couple taps away in the settings

 Always on. and I did some more on and off testing with this and some of you were actually skeptical about it when I tweeted about it saying it was the noise app in the background or some other things with software that I should check out. Apple Watch Series 5 Review: One Big Tradeoff!

 Body was scratch-free. I decided to charge it up and check the battery life on it since it was already in my possession. Guess what? Battery life was at 100%. Hmm, what to do? Ignore the cosmetic damage and kept it bc it’s practically a brand new watch (battery wise)? In the end I kept it bc eventually I will probably scratch it myself

Almost 5 stars but…

 Maybe that's true. I always felt like this battery life wasn't as good as my Series 4 and especially when you have that always on display option. Now they say the always on display option doesn't really like hit or interfere with battery life too much, but it might and I think maybe it's more placebo than not. But I like the Apple Watch Series 5 overall

 my Apple Watch Series 4 still performs extremely well. I don't even plan on updating probably for another 2 years. And with the Series 5, this thing was a really good Apple watch as well. You know it's still a really good option

 And I think in terms of the performance from everything along those you know routes, you can't really go wrong with this type of Apple watch. And I do think you know if you want to go and upgrade to the Series 6 or Series 7, you're probably going to be getting a faster watch here and there. But I don't think you can go wrong with something like the Series 5 and I still think this is a really good performing Apple watch for sure. Now in terms of the battery life, Apple says that you know it can charge up to 18 or last up to 18 hours

 Now internally we do have the S5 chip inside and we do have that W3 wireless chip that Apple made and I can tell you I mean this Apple watch still is very very fast and it's still very smooth. I think one thing, especially when I compare this watch to the Series 7 last year I noticed like man, the Series 5 is still a very good performing Apple watch. You know it doesn't feel slow, it doesn't feel cheap, and I do think if you're somebody in the market and you want to go and buy an Apple watch, move on with your life, you can't really go wrong with this thing. It still has a really good performing you know, chipset inside and the funny thing is and I mentioned this before with something like my Apple Watch Series 4 that's older than the Series 5 and not as fast and all that good stuff

Major difference in step count between Oura and Apple Watch? Worn for the same amount of time. Which is more accurate?

 There were two small scratches on the bevel of the screen. The reason for 4 stars: there was some kind of paint and grime on the crown and in the small slit between the screen and the body. I was able to clean off some of it with a toothpick, but was a little disappointed that the watch wasn't completely clean. Other than that this watch meets or exceeds expectation! I checked the battery health and it is at 95% so it should last a while

Colors were cool. I like the green a lot. I have Apple watch 5 and have no intentions to upgrade. Maybe when they actually add some battery life or if this one breaks.
