Audeze LCD-5

Audeze LCD-5: Very technical - definitely harkens to the LCD-4 in this respect - but still not my cup of tea tonally. DCA Stealth: Remarkable tonality for a closed-back headphone, but suffers from flat dynamics and doesn't seem able to resolve more than surface-level detail.

I recently bought new gaming headphone for my PS5 called the audeze lcd-5. So far these are good I can hear footsteps and gun fire in call of duty vanguard. I definitely recommend and prefer these to the sony pulse and turtle beach.

The LCD-5 is slightly quicker than the LCD-4, which is one of the things I am personally most sensitive to hearing. Another very apparent difference is the overall voicing, which is more forward than the LCD-4. The soundstage is also a little better.

The sound is fucking awful. There is almost no separation between bass, mids and highs, it's just an awful mess of this muddled vomit of sound.

The Ether 2 has certainly spoiled me by being one of the lightest and most comfortable headphones I've ever used, and I think the LCD-5 is only lacking in comfort when compared directly to such an engineering feat. On their own, I don't find them uncomfortably heavy or headache-inducing. I've happily worn them for a couple of hours at a time. Glasses-wearers may need to look elsewhere though.

I would go with the Audeze LCD-5. I believe that this headphone beats out the HE-1 in terms of bass tactility and dynamics, is almost if not equally as detailed as the HE-1, and has better soundstage. Audezes in general are known for having incredibly deep, rich, and detailed bass.
