The 17 Best Headphone Brands - Spring 2022
The Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO are the best Beyerdynamic headphones we've tested.
Extremely comfortable. I have always dealt with "Gaming Headphones" and disregarded Hi-Fi Audio when it comes to listening. The problem with the Gaming Headphone genre is that the majority of the price you pay is to do with the look, aesthetics and the brand. This is the first pair of Headphones in ...
Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO vs HyperX Cloud Orbit S vs Logitech G Pro X vs Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Vs Razer BlackShark V2 Pro vs Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless
While the DT 990 Pro is a comfortable headphone to wear, it has a seriously flawed design with poor frequency response which exaggerates the heck out of highs and dumps a bunch of distortion in there for good measure. It also lacks deep bass reproduction.

Pictured are my DT 990 pros, with a schiit magni and modi stack, and also my first pair of IEMs, moondrop starfields. I'm loving the beyerdynamics for music and gaming. I've EQ'd them with oratory1990's suggested settings. That in my opinion made them much more listenable for long periods, and also better suited for most of the games I play.
Not for Everyone. Please read carefully.
I currently own this (DT-990-Pro-250 Ohm), Sennheiser HD598, and AKG K702. By comparison, this headphone has V-shaped frequency (pitch) response, which means that lows and highs are more enhanced than mids. The resolution of this headphone is very good; I would say on par with Sennheiser HD598, but ...
