Disappointing treble extension and resolution - Do they really need time to "break in"?

Had to replace a set of Q-701s from AKG, didn’t want to purchase them again since they moved production of that model to China. So, based on reviews, I decided on the HD600 over the HD650, the latter of which is supposedly too warm sounding with rolled off or veiled treble response. I’m not a headph...

HD600 vs. Many Other Headphones

If this is your first foray into high-end audio, you're listening at home, and you can swing a decent amplifier, buy these cans before you splurge for any others. Let me first attempt to burnish my credibility. I've had my HD600s for a few years. I'm not Steve Guttenberg and I haven't heard every sy...

Is normal. High tech distortion-free amp and dac is what's needed for modern people. This is not expensive or rare and ofcourse will work great with your Sennheiser HD600. Leave the rest to others.

Sennheiser HD 600

They're decently comfortable and have an above-average build quality. They also have a well-balanced sound with an excellent mid-range and detailed instruments and vocals, but they lack a little low-end bass, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Hearing What the Artist Intended

If hearing what the artist intended to put into their recordings is important to you, you need equipment that can squeeze those details out of the recordings. These cans could be one important (maybe the most important) component of a system that can do that. What the HD600's do well is that they do...

I haven't heard the 70xs, but I think they are similar to a Sennheiser HD600, so warmer and a more narrow soundstage than the Beyer. Based on what you are looking for, I think the1990 would be a great choice.

Sennheiser HD600 Review

They also act well to other amplifiers. They are a very, very solid pair of headphones and they do something very unique, but that unique thing that they do was highlight the biggest range in music. The mid range - and I can say with absolute certainty, that if you follow the prerequisites for purchasing these and the ideals and the principles behind purchasing these, that I've just laid before you, they are a very, very solid recommendation to anybody

The sennheiser hd600 is among the best headphones ever made and many call them the reference dynamic headphones as the sound quality is unmatched for the price. Which is why its been on top all these years and still going strong.

EXCELLENT HEADPHONES FOR AUDIO ENGINEERING

I do a lot of recording. I'm always on the look out for ways to check my tone and verify what I'm doing. In the studio I have a very nice pair of Meyer HD-1 monitors along with four other sets of speakers for checking how my mix translates to other speakers. I have four sets of headphones that I che...
