The Audio Technica LP60 is a solid basic starter table. That "LPGO" is a strange Wal-Mart exclusive and I'm not sure how (or if) it differs from a "regular" LP60. But I think it's essentially the same model, and while quite basic and limited compared to more expensive models, it's a definite step up from a suitcase style player.

The demand for vinyl has meant a lot more people buying up all the turntables, not to mention the thrift stores trying to make a quick buck by jacking up their prices. Are you able to save up maybe $120? That would get you an Audio Technica LP60 which is a reasonable starter turntable. Do you also need speakers?

I also have been quite happy with the Insignia turntable from Best Buy which goes on sale often for $60 and you can easily upgrade the already serviceable AT cartridge that comes with it. There's also the Audio Technica AT-LP60 (the Walmart variant's been spotted in the $150 price range lately) which is a perfect stepping stone for newbies. Price doesn't have to be a barrier of entry as long as you make reasonably smart choices.
