Brother MFC-L3770CDW

If it's not going to provide the same quality as the Canon but closer to the lower-tier Brother model, I'd save the money and just get the MFC-L3770CDW. Obviously it's not gonna be inkjet-quality regardless, and mostly this will just be for the occasional color graphics, but if I'm already going to spend almost $300 to get a printer with a duplex scanner (MFC-L2750DW) I might as well check the box on color printing too.

I recently an using a new BrotherMFC in an office and it's awesome. The office has to upgrade because the old HP couldn't support the new Mac OS and the printer was having problems with the fax. When I ask big company IT guys they always say go with Brother.

I picked up a Brother MFC-L3770CDW a couple of days ago and so far it seems like it will do what I need it to. I haven't found many comments online about the printer other than reviews on sites like Best Buy and such. And of course, I feel most of the 1 star reviews I read about the printer are from people who don't know what they are doing let alone understand how a laser printer works. I never owned a Brother printer before only an IBM 4019 - a glorious tank that bellowed ozone and would not die, and couple HP inkjets.

The Brother MFC-L3770CDW has relatively high running costs. If you're willing to spend a bit more, look at the Canon Color imageCLASS MF743Cdw and HP Color LaserJet Pro M479fdw (both use the same underlying Canon print engine). Canon and HP laser printers do allow you to run cartridges past end of life, but image quality obviously isn't going to be guaranteed.
