Verdict - XPS 15 still has some software bugs

The new XPS 15 9510 with the OLED screen is once again a very good multimedia laptop, but some software/drivers issues prevent a better score and should be fixed soon. You should not expect big performance improvements from the graphics card, because Dell uses one of the slowest version of the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti. The new OLED screen offers great image quality and convinces with good color accuracy and extremely fast response times

Dell XPS 15 7590 Full Review! | The Tech Chap

I mean there's more creator laptops than ever out there now all good options that you can't really go wrong with, but I personally always find myself coming back to the XPS. It's just a great all-rounder and while the design is looking a bit long in the tooth - and he should avoid the eye 9 processor - it's still one of the best laptops you can buy right now and I do highly recommend it.

Ask HN: Are there any reasonable alternatives to MacBook Pro for developer?

I have an XPS 15 (>2 years old) and also had battery swell, which made the trackpad unusable along with other safety concerns. Dell decided to replace the batteries for the 84wh model for free, but not for the 56wh model, which is very disappointing...Also the throttling in the XPS 15 is real. Ev...

I've got the XPS 15 i9 with the OLED screen and I love it. I can't speak for the larger population though. It ticks all the other boxes you mention for me, however I don't do any gaming on it.

Great daily driver

I bought my OLED unit from Dell directly (I got impatient), but I wanted to leave a review here to help you make your decision. TL;DR: It's a good daily driver for content creators or students with a more demanding workflow that need a very portable laptop that will last most of the day (this IS NOT...

My Dell xps 15 had this graphics card. Works great

Good value for an office laptop.

This Dell laptop is a good value for an office environment. For gaming it's ok, not super fast, but it works. My normal laptop is a macbook pro. This provides a decent comparison. The screen on the dell is beautiful. I found the colors rich and lovely. The keyboard feels sturdy. I actually prefer it...

If you need windows;

If you are going to be packing something around constantly, the Lenovo Thinkpads seem tougher built than most.

Dell XPS 15 are well reviewed and will be better value than Thinkpad.
