* piercing treble, even after two months of usage, sometimes I had to put them off after 5 minutes, sometimes I could survive two hours with them. * lack of warmth in the base (drop around 100Hz) results in dry, analytical sound, very annoying while trying to enjoy the music, not analysing music. * bass gets distorted very easily when bass-heavy music is played louder. * my ears are touching inside of the cups, annoying and painful; the comfort of these headphones is so over-hyped!.

It doesn't enhance micro details, however it is extremely good for almost all genres. It has bass, amazing vocal reproduction and no listening fatigue. The soundstage isn't as wide as the HD800, however it is very serviceable.

This is quite an interesting headphone for an interesting reason: it is not very interesting yet amazing. I don't think I've ever had headphones sound so good right out of the gates. I mean, I love my Focal Clears for what they can reveal to you and how they can let you hear everything in a recording, but this is something different.
