 The DP-300F has been designed with heavier base construction for reduced vibration and performance. The all new tonearm has a removable headshell making cartridge replacement simple. The standard mount headshell allows for any standard mount cartridge between 5 and 10 grams to be mounted and balanced. The automatic startup feature allows the turntable to begin play with the touch of a button, and once play has been completed, the tonearm will be returned to the armrest gently so that the stylus and record are not damaged or scratched. The turntable is made of rigid diecast aluminum to produce uniform rotation for smooth flutter free operation. There is also a manual lifter mechanism that allows you to place the needle on the record wherever you want, so you can skip to a different song in the middle of a side. 

 The DP-300F includes a built-in phono equalizer to connect the player to an integrated amp or receiver that does not have its own phono input. This turntable is powered by a DC servo motor and belt drive system and has rotation speeds of 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. It comes with a MM cartridge so that you can begin to enjoy your analog record collection as soon as you connect the DP-300F to your home hi-fi system.

The turntable is a Denon DP-300F with an Ortofon 2M Blue -- I might eventually upgrade this, but it has served me well since I’ve had it. Overall a great system, would easily recommend any of these components.

I believe that this price is quite fair for a turntable with the given features and construction quality to last a very long time. It is a heavier turntable and built solidly. After assembling it, you will have no doubt that it is sturdy enough to endure frequent use

 The automatic tone arm is helpful for those with shaky hands like mine. Being able to use that will relieve you from worrying about dropping the needle too hard and potentially damaging any of your records.  The one knock against this turntable I did have was in regards to its assembly. As I mentioned earlier, this was the first turntable I’ve ever purchased

 I struggled with figuring out how to attach some of the components together. The directions were vague and somewhat lacking. With a quick search on YouTube you can find many instructional videos online to help. I was able to find several videos that were able to clear up what I did not understand about assembling the turntable

 However, there are a few things that could be improved.  This is the first turntable I have ever owned or purchased. If other first time buyers are looking for a turntable to purchase I would have to recommend this one as long as they are willing to make a serious investment. If you are looking to find a turntable for a kid there are cheaper and simpler options to get them started with

 This is how I raise it up and move it over to start the record, I just slide it over to where I'm at the start, pull this back towards me and it drops it down. I lower it back down into its cradle here. You set your size of your record, then you set your speed, and really that's all there is to it. There isn't that much to this turntable

 I have the internal preamp on this thing turned off, so I have it switched to where it's level line and goes through the preamp there and then it is ready to go. It's got a very good sound, it works very well. It's about a $400 turntable. I actually didn't buy this one, my brother gave it to me for Christmas last year

 You have the power cord built in, and then you have the RCA cables built in. You lift the dust cover up, you have a slip mat that you take the platter out underneath that is a standard belt drive. Cool thing about this turntable is it can be automatic or manual. You can start it manually, but you can also set it in case you're doing something else while you're listening to your record when it reaches the end of the side

The tone arm is one of them that is, you have to set it up to where it's balanced, so you've got your anti-skating and everything you've got to set right

I am very happy with this turntable. It was easy to set up except for balancing the tone arm which I found difficult, and it is simple to operate. The sound is excellent though I have to say that the other components in my stereo system are not the highest end so those with more expensive equipment might have a different opinion.
