If you want to play for 8 hours on battery , the Onyx is out of question. But it has good full sounding sound signature though. The best BT speakers in your price range are :

Consider the Motion Boom if you need that thumpy bass & if you plan on taking it outside.

It's a fun listening experience. Great battery life too.  You can even get two within your budget for proper stereo experience. 

Consider Motion+ if you are primarily gonna listen indoors. You need to EQ it & keep it in a 3 way corner or under a table with it's b back to a wall or something for the bass to reverberate and get that hi-fi speaker level sound. It really is amazing ! Sounds really close to hi-fi speakers if you EQ it well. Buy 2, find good spots that enhances the acoustics of the speaker in your house for a stereo setup, and boy, it will be juicy!

Outdoors, it lacks bass as it is a small speaker, while the motion boom will still sound full. All apart from the bass sounds better on the Motion+ than the Boom. 

Battery life is good , but not as good as the Boom . I'd call it good, not exceptional.

(If you blast 100%, you will get much lesser times though)

Flip is a compact portable, not bad for the size but is not going to have much deep bass.  HK studio has bass but is oddly shaped and has a small battery.

Soundcore Motion Plus & Motion Boom are not the best looking speakers but provide good sound for the $ if you need a portable blaster.

Which bluetooth speaker should i get?

. this speaker come out around the end of 2017 and it will be awesome if they can choose the USB-C as the port, this is a bit nit-picking but USB-C can definitely be a plus

Great sound with good resolution and seperation, sound stage and details are also pretty good. No bloated bass and no harsh highs, to sum up it is a very balanced and good-sounding speaker. Definitely better sound than all other sub-300 portable speakers I have tried. Also, there are little lag for the sound, it is not completely "lag-free", there are still some lags, but they are definitely bearable for casual mobile gaming or watching videos

Overall a great sounding speaker with a significant drawback

There's an outdoor mode that adds bass so with that and high volume I can surely bother the neighbours. The sound is better than my old Envaya and that was already miles ahead of most of the options I could find. The standard JBL's etc just aren't comparable with the overall sound, but might do more boomy bass.

I know it's been treated many times, but I read many threads and I basically read things and the exact opposite.
I ordered this morning the bose soundlink revolve then I went on various threads and cancelled my order as some people say it's good for listening '' loud '' music but not necessarily that good if you are looking for a clear and '' pure '' sound. I don't want to listen tv or organising a party with it. 

I know that some concurrents are UE and Anker. Maybe other. 
Based on only the sound quality: what would you pick ?

My budget is 150-250 euros.

Chosing BT speakers based on sound quality

For the size of this speaker the sound quality is great and it has the capability to get very loud. However, between uses the battery loses charge in a matter of weeks requiring recharging before use. This annoyance makes it not worth the purchase.

Just what the title says. I love tinkering with and fixing older electronics. I don't think it's meant for the bins until it completely stops working or becomes unfixable. 

Two of my absolute favorite speakers are older model Sonys. 

1. The Sony SRS-X55 is a bass monster. The only speaker I've ever owned that I thought "man they went too far with this, it can't even handle its own bass" I use it daily anytime I'm listening to anything that needs a bass kick. Even with it at half volume I recommend turning off bass boost on anything attached to it. It will slide across the table . Bonus points for having a battery that only takes unscrewing the bottom and unplugging it to replace. Nice speaker circa 2015

2. The Sony SRS-BTX300. This old guy it's the polar opposite of the SRS-X55. Don't expect much low end from it but it makes up for it with clear mids and a nice all round sound. This is my go to for podcast listening around the house. It can fill a room just fine and has that nice aesthetically pleasing Sony look. I even used as tv sound bar in my guest room while relatives were visiting. Just a good all around speaker still kicking it from 2013.

Harmon Kardon Studio speakers sound good but the battery sucks for outdoor partying,  overpriced at msrp but go on sale often.  Deep Bass and hifi tuning.

Bose sound ok but do not get very loud or have deep bass.  Always overpriced imo.Hyperboom is a big heavy speaker.  Factory Refurbs are going for $300 on ebay.

JBL and Marshall make nice looking product that are durable and fun to listen to.  Can't go wrong with the new JBL Flip 6 or Charge 5.  Decent enough sound for most people and popular.

Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Recommendation (Christmas Gift)

I first like to say wow! The seller had made a quick turnaround on the transaction getting my Denon here quicker than the expected delivery date! I received it yesterday March 9th when it was expected between March 20th through April 4th. As for those who are wondering about the quality of the speaker, it is without a doubt a Hi-Fi speaker. Bass, mids, and treble are in one accord. I don't think it is as loud as JBL Charge 3 but the quality of sound gives you a live performance sound stage
