The first thing that really jumped out to me when I was hitting this Warrior paddle was how muted it felt at every connection. It's a very, very dampened paddle so if you're looking for a high level of comfort, I think this is a great way to go and it's also a fairly quiet paddle

 One thing I thought Diadem did a great job of was the combination of stability and maneuverability. The paddle felt nice and quick, up in my hands at net I never felt like I was late but it also was really stable so I never felt like I was getting pushed around when I was hitting against the bigger hitters. My one small knock would be the feel, now I didn't feel as connected to the paddle as I wanted to so my touch shots maybe weren't the strongest, however that's not my game so it didn't really bother me. Overall I found myself coming back to this paddle time and time again and it's definitely worth a demo

 Not as loud and poppy as a lot of other paddles. This really let me be me. I don't really have a particular favorite shot with it. I thought this was a very versatile all court paddle

 I would say I'm a good source of power on the ball so this is a very low powered, high control oriented paddle. I think maybe you're getting a little power return off the polypropylene core but definitely that etched carbon surface is going to give you lots of spin, lots of control and it kind of gives it a really dampened feel and response including the sound. Not as loud and poppy as a lot of other paddles. This really let me be me

My best advice for an easy transition is to get an elongated paddle shape like the Engage Pursuit MX 6.0, Diadem Warrior Edge, Selkirk Invikta or CRBN1. It will allow you to use ground strokes are more similar to your tennis strokes.

Hi, I'm a former tennis player that has had to give tennis up due to an injury. Pickleball seems like a good outlet to replace my tennis itch. My question is where skill level wise can I expect to coming in at. I was formerly around a 4.0 to 4.5 in tennis. I'm thinking about taking a group class to understand the basics and differences from tennis. Any advice or info would be great. Thanks!

<p>Edit: My injury is my left wrist (I&#39;m right handed). Also thank you for all the tips and advice. I&#39;m not looking to jump right into tournaments or anything like that. I was never too concerned with my tennis rating. My playing style in tennis is kind of a mix between ground strokes and net play. I feel like my strategy and soft play is what will need the most work. My local community has a few pickleball clubs and groups so I&#39;m looking to join one and take a few lessons to get the basics down. Thanks everyone!</p>

Former tennis player wanting to get into pickleball

 I have my Electrum e, CRBN1, Selkirk 002 and Electrum Pro-II for about 2 - 3 months and they all look brand new. Very little or no wear. Let’s see what happens over the next few days.

 I'm not really sure why they're sticking with the Warrior name. The only thing this shares with the original Warrior is the shape. Other than that, everything else is very different. So when we're talking about the shape, it's a standard elongated shape, 16 1⁄2 inches long by 7 1⁄2 inches wide

 This is the Warrior Edge. Dyedum has already released a different paddle called the Warrior, but this one is different. I'm not really sure why they're sticking with the Warrior name. The only thing this shares with the original Warrior is the shape

 Other than that, everything else is very different. So when we're talking about the shape, it's a standard elongated shape, 16 1⁄2 inches long by 7 1⁄2 inches wide. This is gonna give you a little extra reach. Then the handle is five inches long

 On the forgiveness front, none of these have tiny sweet spots, but I gave it third place. For spin, I put it as a tie with Carbon, though the Yola and Electrum are not far behind. It was difficult to rank them for spin since they all perform well in this category. For power, the Yola and Carbon take spots one and two, while the Edge comes in the third spot and Electrum is the clear fourth spot on this one

Spin is all the rage right now and the majority of paddles that have the best spin use a a raw carbon fiber facing material. The Diadem Warrior Edge is the latest paddle to use that material and as expected it joins the ranks of high spin rating paddles. Diadem Warrior Edge Paddle Review by Pickleball Effect

Hello,

I was wondering if there were any paddle similar to the feel of Ben John’s Joola Paddle? I got to try one for a couple hours last night and omg soon as I started using it I fell in love with the soft plush feelings (or at least that’s what I’ve been told that feeling is). 

Slices felt like butter and I was almost convinced to get that paddle, my only complaint is that it is extremely head heavy which doesn’t bode well for my developing tennis elbow situation. I think I would need a paddle that is more balanced. 

I have been playing for about 2 months now and i would probably rate myself as a 3.5, funnily enough though I don’t own a paddle yet, I have been playing with Demos for 2 months now. Mostly with the ProKennex Ovation Flight and I liked it but it just doesn’t have a good feel or enough power like the Hyperion CFS 16. 

Would be great to get some feedback from fellow picklers here and wanted to see if any of you were aware of a paddle that had a similar feel to that of Ben john’s but was more balanced than head heavy, longer handles are definitely a bonus but not a necessity.

I started this channel quite by accident, I was recording my games to do film study and get better. I did not have time or money for lessons from pro pickleball coach, so I started watching all my screwups. People that I was playing with started to ask if they could watch too and I said sure. That helped all of us a lot to improve our game, strategy, mental toughness, and techniques. Now we have new pickleball videos published several times a week. We occasionally have pro pickleball players on the channel. Mostly its non pro pickleball players on their quest to 5.0 pickleball. We have all levels come through the channel, but we concentrate on the 4.0 pickleball, 4.5 pickleball and up to 5.5 pickleball with the pros.

Diadem Warrior Edge Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle Review

I’ve been playing with an Onix Z5 for a year now. It’s been feeling off to me lately and I want to upgrade. I’m a solid doubles 3.5 player and probably a 4.0 in singles.

I keep going back and forth on what paddle to get next. Wondering what people on here use and how you like it? It’s really hard for me to pull the trigger when they cost $150-$200!

What’s your favorite Paddle and why?

 Also thanks to just paddles for sending me this paddle to review. Just help support the channel for the specs. We have a 16 millimeter polymer single core not a three XL core like the original warrior

 It feels extremely light and it just doesn't feel like it's going to hold up over time to me. And in my opinion, their edge guard technology here, claiming that you're going to gain aerodynamics and a little bit of speed or whatever it is, is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. I think every company has their little niche and I think this one's a little out there. And something really important for me, the handle, this one feels especially cheap to me

 I think it's great that Diadem is getting their own version of these raw carbon fiber surfaces and expanding their lineup with an in-between paddle of the Icon and Warrior, but of all the carbon fiber surfaces I've tried, this one is probably my least favorite. Minus the sweet spot, I'm not sure I would say it's a bad paddle. It just doesn't fit my style of play. I like paddles that are softer and easier for me to reset, drop, and dink with, even if that means I sacrifice a little bit of power

 It's actually very similar to the original warrior which was 1542 but the big bright side is now that Diadem is using a surface similar to Electrum the grit should last much longer. On the original warrior you could wear it down in about a week. This surface may fade over time but it's going to be much more resistant than their last paddle. So that's a big plus

In this video we take a look at the new Warrior Edge from Diadem. This is a single core unlike the 3XL from the Warrior, and is 16mm featuring their etched graphite face similar to Electrum, CRBN, and Joola.
