Hey guys welcome back to the channel and today we're finally getting to all those products that we purchased last year, but never really had a chance to review, but we had to include them in a roundup. So that's why we purchased them today. We'Re gon na start off with the ducky one: two f, it's one of my favorite 65, especially if you're looking at something that's pretty rgb intensive for an affordable price as well [, Music ]. This is betty from switch and click and the ducky one two sf was included in our best 65 mechanical keyboards of 2020 as having some of the best rgb and onboard firmware of all the keyboards there for rgb editing macro, recording all that jazz all in the Board no software required at all this keyboard's been out for about a year and a half

 The next thing we have is a plastic dust cover and it does cover up the board all the way without leaving any gaps for dust or hair or fur to enter under the keycaps and in the switches. Alongside that, you do have enough space here for the port to still be connected to your keyboard, even with the dust cover on. I really should use these. I don't know why i don't use these, but still don't use them

 Of course, of course you get the keyboard. Why wouldn't you get the keyboard? Go into build quality, design and layout, so the layout is a 65 keyboard that basically means that it has all the keys of a 60 plus arrow keys and then some nav keys here as well. There are some things that are a little bit different about the ducky one, two sf from your other 65 boards. You got your 2u redshift here compared to the 1

 It'S pretty hard taking the kinks out of a cable like that, so just straighten it out, leave it out like that and eventually it'll straighten out. You also get the zodiac space bar. We have the year of the rat right here and it's included on the board, and it shines rgb through very nicely, if you're into that, if you're not into that the original space bar is just black. You also get some additional keycaps here as well

mechanical keyboard with linux support

edit: after investigating a bit on the sound of the ping that the keystokes are making, it does appear to be coming from a thin backplate that is effectively resonating and not anchored to the frame. The plastic case here is not doing it any favors, but they could very easily dampen this effect by putting some soft foam padding to close the gap between the case and the baseplate. I think this is a pretty weak point in the design, and should be addressed. I'm going to open it up and fix it, because I like the board, but it's a shame that it seems to have a notable issue right out of the box that I think most people wouldn't address

A few cents worth of foam will likely make this board significantly better to type on.

 My only real issue is that it doesn't feel as solid as I have come to expect from a mechanical board. I have a Varmilo full-size board with a heavy steel backplate inside and cherry mx silents, and it feels noticeably better to type on, and is a lot more quiet/thunky/deep sounding than the One 2. Silent reds in this thing make a "twang" or "ping" sound on every keystroke. I'm not convinced on the backplate, whether that be the backplate itself, or the connection to the chassis

Not as rigid as I expected, still a good board

Look at the Glorious GMMK and the Ducky One 2 RGB. Neither costs much more than the Razer Ornata 2, and both are decent quality. The GMMK is got swap, so you can change the switches if you want.

If you looking for long-term use keyboard invest in a Leopold, Varmilo, Ducky or Vortex keyboard.

Membrane keyboard are known to deteriorate pretty badly over many years.

It is always a very particular opinion (even because I don't like LEDs on the keyboard), but, I would buy the Ducky TKL and as the second keyboard the SF. forget the Razer

I would prefer the sf. Its a great keyboard for a relatively good price, especially nice with the added arrow keys and del/pgdn/pgup. Its definitely worth it imo to get the cherrys and lube them up, as they feel and sound so much better than the razer boards. If you were to even get a razer, get the new huntsman tkl board with opticals. Just my 2 cents

i've had a huntsman elite with optical red switches for 2 days, but the keys were way to sensitive to me. Lots of accidental button presses. (might be because of my fat fingers though xD)

I've returned that and am now using a ducky One 2 SF with MX Browns, and it feels much nicer to me.

You just got to take into account what buttons you often use for programming. The One 2 TKL might be better for you.

Ducky One 2 vs Razer Blackwidow Elite

I’ve had it for about two months now and it’s a great keyboard. Ducky one 2 mini is definitely the best keyboard I’ve ever had. If your looking to invest in your first a high-end type of keyboard, but your on a little budget; go with this one all the way. Just be careful with the kailh box silent switches

They need to have translucent lettering on them, not printed, to allow for the backlight to bleed though, my guess is that laser etched ones allow for this? I've had a quick google but I can't seem to find much, I suppose I am looking for the wrong keywords.

So I got the Razer PBT Keycaps for christmas. They don't fit my old Razer Ornata, so that gives me the opportunity to buy an actual mechanical keyboard. Are there any that come without keycaps? Or are there good keyboards that don't come with PBT caps? Looking for a tkl with cherry reds. I thought about buying a barebone GMMK but id have to buy the switches and install them right?

I know that severely limits me on options.  To complicated things further there's no place to solder and I have a newborn, so using solder with lead, which I've seen recommended, is a no go, which leaves hotswap.

I've narrowed it down to keychron C2 and the GMMK full-size.  The Keychron wins on cost, but I do not know how it compares to the GMMK full size.  Any insights on the situation?

I’m looking for something that meets these needs:
- 180+ keys
- Clean/minimal design
- Has a volume knob/wheel similar to my Das Keyboard 4 Professional, and a sleep button or similar programmable button (I use the sleep button on a daily basis).
- MX Cherry blues
- Has USB ports
- No price limit, just looking for a fantastically built keyboard

I really like the way my Das Keyboard 4 looks, I’m just not a fan of the quality all that much. 
I really like the clean look of some of the keyboards on this channel with the little nordic rune on the top right (smith and rune I believe), but I’m not sure they make full sized keyboards with a volume scroll/sleep button. Thank you!

What do yall think i should get? like in terms of worth it for the money. Gmmk white ice, drop ctrl or drop alt? idk much ab mech keyboards and im pre sure ill be getting one of those, if anyones got any other good hotswap kb recommendations that'd be cool :D

Hey, I bought a keychron K2 and I want to change the keycaps, I assume it is possible to go from OEM keycaps to Cherry keycaps without problems?

What is the cheapest, or one of the cheapest reasonable quality cherry mx brown keyboard? I can't seem to find cheap ones, and the ones I can find have blue or red switches, which aren't what I'm looking for. I'd really appreciate any help on finding the right keyboard

I’m looking for a wireless 65% keyboard as german layout and I prefer brown switches.
Saw the Keychron K6 so far and read that an ASUS ROG Keyboard will release soon.

Hey guys, I was wondering why my DZ65 from kbdfans hotswap board is a bit different. I’ve used a drop ctrl for a while and got used to the hotswap nature of that board, and switches came out easily and were inserted easily. But on this new board it’s very difficult for some reason. I’ve made sure that everything is aligned and everything but it was still hard to push the switches in fully. Is this just the nature of a non prebuilt keeb?

Time for a new keyboard for my Mac.  I have loved my Das Keyboard (pretty sure they are cherry-blues) and then my Maitas Quiet pro, but I now have two additional requirements:  (1) I want it to be wireless, and (2) I want it to be 10-key-less.  


Any suggestions?

i want to buy a mechanical keyboard.

i dont play video games at all. ever. 

i do like writing though and i just want something satisfying to type on. 

im not going to build my own custom board or anything like that. im just going to buy a mechanical keyboard as is. 

i really, really like the varmilo boards bc theyre pretty, but im having a lot of trouble figuring out the right switch for me. a lot of the prettiest boards only have cherry MX, in which case I guess browns would be the best? but these dont seem especially loved. i could also do varmilo ec ivy, but no one seems to own it so its hard to figure out what theyre like. lastly, i was kinda thinking about kailh box white.

but overall, im just looking for a really satisfying board for typing that's pretty.
