On the other hand, that is fine for quick jobs and the batteries are easily removable by the user. As long as you keep after hair and dust getting in the wheels and around the brush roll ends, then it should not be difficult to maintain. That should not be a major issue unless you run over huge piles of debris, either. You should be getting the major stuff with the C3 anyway since the Omni-Glide is meant to handle light debris.

If you're looking for a cordless stick vacuum that's lightweight and easy to carry around, the Dyson Omni-Glide is worth a look. It has a uniquely-designed floorhead with twin rotating soft rollers and four caster wheels, allowing you to easily pivot the vacuum in tight corners and maneuver it around in tight spaces. It weighs considerably less than many other cordless stick vacuums, even other Dyson models like the Dyson V8 Animal

Since you mentioned the home is mainly hardwood, I would recommend a Dyson Omni-glide. The price is pretty reasonable and it’s some of their newer technology.

However, it's only intended for use on bare floors and unfortunately delivers a mediocre performance on that surface type. It also has a tiny dirt compartment and a relatively short battery life of roughly 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the power mode and selected tools and accessories. On the plus side, like most Dyson vacuums, it should incur virtually no recurring costs as long as it's properly maintained
