Anyone has experience with this 2 units? Which has better color?

I'll be using it in an almost completely dark room on a white wall and playing Netflix (most of the time), Disney+ and Prime. I'll be moving it around so image sizes are  35 - 120"

I'm aware neither are Netflix certified so I'll most likely get a chromecast if I can't cast from another device

Epson EF-11 vs XGIMI Halo+

Horrendous 120ms input lag. Not for gaming.

They sell for the same price, and I'd like some recommendations on which one to buy.

I don't intend to move with it but the small size factor is good in my small apartment. But I'll go with the best one. Any owner of both ?

It will probably sit on the floor, or the chimney mantle top in the room. It&#39;s pretty much for Netflix, movie,s or tv shows, without having a real screen.

Amazing projector, sketchy ethics

So the room where I have my projector is 12.5 x 9.5. I have a HT1070A that I am pretty happy with besides the occasional rainbow effect. I had it set up so that it projects a 100" screen on a white wall the length of the room. 

I really enjoyed it but was looking for some kind of upgrade and wanted a bigger screen so I bought an Epson Home Cinema 1080. Instead of projecting down the length of the room I then had it perpendicular. So the distance to the wall was 9.5 ft instead of 12.5. This created a 120" screen that was about 95 inches away. 

There were a lot of problems with this setup. It definitely had a "first row of the theater" feeling. It was also so close that I could see the pixels. That was easy enough to ignore though. I liked how I could use it in much brighter ambient light. 

The last day for me to return it is today and last night I finally did a head to head test of the two projectors and it was shocking. It confirmed my suspicion that the Epson's black levels were terribly bright. I couldn't figure out any settings to get it anywhere close to the BenQ. Before I made the comparison I sort of noticed that things seemed less cinematic with the Epson. I now believe that it's due to poorer contrast. I have tried every setting as well. I wish there were a way to reduce lamp power more but I already had it on Eco. 

Part of me thinks that if I were to project the Epson on a proper screen it might look better but I figure that the BenQ would look even better than it currently does. 

I guess I am left wondering if all 3LCD Epsons suffer from this same image quality, or does it vary from model to model? I did like the lack of rainbow effect and in bright scenes things looked pretty good. But when it came to darker scenes, all of the blacks were completely crushed.

Hey all, I'm looking to buy a projector and cannot be more overwhelmed with all the choices.

For my use case, I will be using this in my bedroom which is fairly bright during the day. Primarily, I do all of my gaming, watching, etc on my computer monitor but would like a bigger screen for binging shows. I want something a bit more flexible than a television - watch on different walls, bring to another room, watch on the ceiling (this is a big one) - and so I'm attracted to the idea of getting a projector.

I've been looking at all price ranges but ultimately want to purchase something under $700 as this is my first projector. However, I have been looking at the Xgimi Horizon ($999/$1699) because of all the coverage it has on youtube. Part of me wants to purchase that and be done with it, but at that price range I could just purchase an OLED plenty large for my bedroom but I lose out on the flexibility.

Does anyone have any advice?

- White walls in bedroom

- One window but large and the curtain doesnt block much light, however I can get a blackout curtain if its really an issue

- Will be &lt;10ft from the walls when watching

- Anything screen size larger than 40&quot; should be plenty for my use case
