 Thing is, its really easy to open it by accident and if you don't know its there, you won't know why suction has dropped. It really needs a little detent to keep it in place.  Hose falls off: There's a button to remove the hose from the unit, which is handy, but it's also really easy to press accidentally loosening the hose from where it seats on the canister lowering suction and causing increase in noise.  Attachment swapping: This is a real pain and a big negative

 There are too many steps to swap attachments that isn't almost not worth doing. Maybe I was spoiled by my now-dead Dyson Ball, but having to remove the host, remove the handle, attach host to handle, attach attachment to handle and then reverse it, ugh.  Canister emptying: All canister vacuums empty poorly, unless you empty very frequently. Eureka tried to make this easier by putting vanes in the canister to make the dust and hair ball up

  The plusses:  Vacuums well. I have 1 cat and 3 dogs and this vacuum works great for picking up hair.  The hand brush attachment work well too.  The extra long cord is awesome

  The whole brush-off for non-carpet areas is annoying. My last vacuum worked on hard flooring even with the brush going. The button is in an inconvenient spot too. Would have been better on the handle (same with the power button)

  If you’re moving something out of the way to vacuum, even if it only takes a second, you have to turn the vacuum off otherwise the brush runs like mad when it’s in an upright position.. was kind of concerned it’d mess my carpet up.  Overall it does the job, but requires more work to use and maintain than my last Eureka, which isn’t ideal

 The hose to vacuum furniture is so tight, that you really can’t stretch it out to use on anything past your arm length. The suction is horrible, and it has these adjustable vents to help you get “stronger section” which absolutely don’t work at all. The front of the vacuum has a filtering system with a plastic cover. Anytime you bump the front of the vacuum into any piece of furniture the cover flies off

It also has a button so that the brush on the bottom can help remove lint and hair, the only problem is that the lint does not get sectioned up into the machine and stays within the brush.  The roller is a mess after one room, will need to clean that out. Old vacuum maybe once every two weeks. This was supposed to be a pet vacuum, my Shark isn’t and it survived a toy mouse, got it out a day before this one arrived. I wouldn’t have bought if I wasn’t convinced that that mouse was never coming out

Seriously one time, one room… Either my Shark is no longer sucking up pet hair (which it gathered an entire bin plus yesterday) or something is not quite right here. One, after one quarter of my fairly small living room it started spitting chunks of pet hair out? Like when you carpet clean, have pets and need to pick up some clumps as you go, gross but true. I pass it over the hair chunks and it picks them up, so there is suction and I have it adjusted to my carpet, should be fine? In the end I see minimal hair in the bin but… the filter needs to be cleaned after one room! Never a problem with my other vacuum. Maneuverability is excellent it gets around everything much better than my other vacuum and I would love it if I rehomed my 2 cats and Australian shepherd but that’s never happening short of a runaway bread truck

Does not play well with Pets!

 Another adjustment to use the hose or floor suction. This has no light on the beater bar. When picking up the machine to move it over a gate I lifted it by the handle on the top and the one on that canister. When lifting the canister separates from the machine just enough to loose suction

This came with no instructions and missing the one screw that's needed to attach handle to the body

 The buttons for power and brush are right next to each other on the body and not in the handle. Two suction adjustments one on the hose base and another on the wand. Have to keep adjusting these for area rugs or the machine suction is too strong and sucks up the rug. Even with both adjusted it sucked up the area rugs anyway

This vac has good and bad. The good is it has great suction. I have a bird and of course there's always seed on the floor. Some vacs go over the seed and throw it out the backside

 Another thing to note is how bulky it is, although it turns smoothly around corners it is just too big to fit under or around any tight spaces. Right out of the box the vacuum was easy to assemble, all you have to attach is the handle, then add on the attachment tools. I do recommend this vacuum if you are looking for power without paying big bucks on one of those more expensive brands, but if you are someone who needs a light weight and easy to handle vacuum this is not for you.

Powerful, but heavy and bulky..

I purchased this after a bit of research and found it was recommended for pet hair and that it was a good value. Yes, the price was appealing but that is the only thing going for this vacuum. I have owned Dysons, Bissells, Royal, Hoovers, etc and this is the one that is by far the most disappointing. It’s easy to assemble and it seems like it would work well but when the debris/dust ends up on the outside of the vacuum something is wrong
