For sole reason that Fitbit lasts for 5 days, i prefer it over Apple watch anyday. It does almost everything an iwatch does. So it's pointless to pay so much and charge the thing ever 18 hours.

I disagree, my Fitbit versa has a worse time GPS tracking, died from my 5ft pool (water ingress), and was at times slow/clunky. Integration with iPhone was simply not as seamless as it was on android. 


Conversely, the Apple Watch just works. Yes it needs 3 apps and I honestly don’t like the layout of them. Ironically I use Google fit instead. That said. The Apple Watch battery is rough at one-day.

It depends *what* you're talking about.

The Fitbit is an absolutely TERRIBLE smartwatch. So slow and laggy, even the simple UI can't function well. No way to see message threads, get email apps, etc. and no smartwatch features beyond notifications. But it has great battery life.

But it is a better fitness tracker, I can't argue that.

So it really depends what function you're referring to. Each watch is for a different purpose.

Many don’t really need all that can be offered from an Apple Watch, and Fitbit is great for those people. Simplicity is nice. 

That being said, I switched from a Charge 2 to an Apple Watch series 4 and I really haven’t looked back. I recently purchased a Sense because of, like you said, battery life of an Apple Watch. Couldn’t do it and returned it. There are just so many things that an AW can do on iOS versus what a Fitbit can.

I switched to Fitbit from Apple Watch and I love my Versa 3! I found the Apple Watch to be too big and bulky, the battery life was awful, and I was really only using the fitness tracking functionalities of the watch. I made the switch in November and I have zero regrets!

However, I never ever used all the apps it kept downloading and it constantly refuses to download any updates, which meant I had to remove it and spend a day resetting the whole thing.
Since I exercise a lot, and quite active as a whole, I wouldn’t ever get a whole days worth out of the AW battery. With Fitbit, I can get 3 and I even wear it to bed. I could never wear my AW to bed. 
For what I need it, the Fitbit is just right for me.

Early Review Coming from a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic - Slightly Disappointed

What is your suggestion on best watches with long battery life (at least 4 days or a week+)? I would really like to buy some, but i dont want to recharge them every other day. I love the look of Skagen falster gen 5/gen 6 or Fossil gen 5 but the battery life is pretty bad in my opinion.

Best watches with long battery life

 I also wanted a reliable HRM and general fitness tracker.  Pros: + Lightweight / low profile - it's much lighter and has a lower profile than most, which make it as comfortable as it can be if you want to wear it all the time + Good battery life - 61% remaining after 72 hours of use (always-on disabled) + Always-on option - if you're into it, you can have this bad boy shine some of that sweet, sweet blue light at your face all the time + HRM accuracy - as accurate as any out there from my experience + Sleep tracking - seems pretty accurate from what I can gather of my unconscious self, and not particularly noticeable on my wrist; I can't compare to Apple Watch or others on sleep tracking because: (1) I always had to charge those when I was sleeping each night, and (2) they were bulky and uncomfortable to wear while sleeping  Cons: - Price - holy price-itself-out-of-contention, Batman - not even I can justify the price for the niche "dumb" smartwatch I want - Customizability - okay, this one is rough - is it so much to ask to be able to pick the stats / widgets / background of the watch on a grid system? There are maybe 5 watch faces I can stomach, and you have to pay for some of them? - Parity in class - listen, I get it, it looks to have even dumbed itself down more from it's predecessor - that's rough - Fitbit subscription - seemingly required for some of the features to have meaning, and not particularly cheap considering - Responsiveness - it's a little sluggish swiping from screen to screen, nothing all that bad, but I'm a patient person

The battery life is dropped 31% in 12 hours. This is using it as a watch. The display keeps freezing. I contacted Fitbit for support and they took my email address

Misleading

I wanted a simple Fitness tracker to replace my Fitbit Versa 2, and this had everything I wanted. I can track my steps, sleep, and workouts. It notifies me of phone alerts like text messages and calls (meaning I can put my phone down without worrying about missing important messages).



Does it have all the bells and whistles of a smart watch? No, but that's why I picked it.



Unfortunately, this device barely functions. The first one I purchased had a battery drain issue. In 5 minutes, it would go from 20% battery to completely dead.



Fitbit gave me a warranty replacement for it, but they sent the wrong color. It took three weeks for them to receive the returned item and then another week for me to get the replacement.



The replacement has been nothing but trouble. No matter how high the battery is when it charges, there's always a risk of it dying when I charge it. The screen goes black and it is completely unresponsive. I try resetting it with the charging cable, plugging it into different USB ports, and even using different cables. While it eventually comes back to life, how long it takes and what finally gets it back is completely random.



I did receive a third replacement Luxe, but only because that was best option from Fitbit. They also offered me a discounted rate on the Charge 5 (which has more negative reviews for similar reasons) and the Versa 2 (which I traded in to get the Luxe- not to mention they're preordering the Versa 4, so at a minimum, I'd want the Versa 3). While I'm making do with what I have, I'm looking at leaving the Fitbit ecosystem entirely due to my experience with this product.



The replacement is working, for now, but I don't trust it will hold up for long, and I am skeptical that a different device, like the Versa 4, will have fixed these issues

Anyone else have a bad experience with the Fitbit Luxe?

Disappointing

I have the Fitbit Sense. Unfortunately the audio is not so good. I use it only for very fast phone calls, like: "I call you later" or "I'm busy right know".

Hi. I'm looking into purchasing the Versa 3 very soon. How is the volume of the call when talking outside? Do you find yourself always bringing your watch to your ear in order to hear anything, or does the speaker pack a little punch? 

BONUS question: How quick does the watch translate your voice to text when replying to a text message? (Android)
