 You can easily select between 33.5 and 45 with one switch flip.  Reaching out to customer service only provides you with a laundry list of ways that you can spend more money to attempt to create an isolated situation where your platter won’t create a bass like boom when touched, walked by. So don’t even breathe on it!  All the solutions suggested, I had already tried to no avail

 It’s not worth putting more money into this system to chase better sound. Avoid this turntable if you are looking to purchase one and never upgrade.  Cs basically told me this happens all the time while there are several units out there that do not experience tonal distortion from the platter or walking by it.  One ludicrous suggestion was to remove the dust cover upon every play

 However, it is flawed at its price point. You are met with a metal plinth, subpar very entry level cartridge, a cheap motor and highly resonant platter. Regardless of the quality of your amplifier, speakers and wiring, you will have rather significant booming coming from your platter. To upgrade this model is futile because you can simply purchase a higher grade model from several manufacturers that will provide you with more value for your money

There are better beginner TT in the price range

I’m very happy with my Sonos setup. Arc, 2x Sonos one, Sub and Port.

With my low cost Turn Table and all of this I can enjoy flawlessly all my very old vinyls.

I'm trying to decide on a port or another Five. I have Sonos Arc, plus Sub gen 3 and Sonos Fives as the surrounds already (and a Roam for the loo/shower &amp; Symphonisk lamp in the bedroom)(i also have some HomePods &amp; Homepod mini). I would love to get a turntable and perhaps a port or...another Sonos Five? The trouble is, it's all in the same room-so another Five seems silly. I live in a modest one-bedroom apartment and all this is in my living room. In my bedroom I don't really have space for a turntable and have a few corners I am thinking of putting it in the living-room. 
Any thoughts or suggestions for a decent not break the budget turntable (been thinking of Regar Planar 1 Pro or maybeeee 2, but then I need the pre-amp). Are there pre-amps that also work as a day that I could connect my iPad to as well and get hi-res lossless from Apple Music to some headphone? 
The idea is I’d push the music to the Arc setup. Be able to play in the living-room, bedroom and or bath-room using Sonos S2 app or AirPlay 2. Are their alternatives to the port? Does the Sonos Amp work as a pre-amp? I know some stuff about tech, but audio has my feathers all ruffled. I want to learn and get better at all of this.

Sonos Port and a turntable- I've heard so many mixed things

First off, this is a stunningly beautiful turntable. Seriously, the pictures don't do it justice. The fit and finish is top notch. Nearly everything, save the 45 rpm adapter which is made of plastic, feels of quality

  Long story short, I decided to give them another try. This time, I ordered directly from Fluance. I carefully unboxed the turntable, made damn sure everything was set up just right, let the platter spin for 24 hours and then tossed on some vinyl to see what we had. MUCH BETTER

 The fit and finish is top notch. Nearly everything, save the 45 rpm adapter which is made of plastic, feels of quality. The problem is, I've never been a fan of Alvin and the Chipmunks and with this record player, that's pretty much all I've got. Now, there are a couple of fine tuning adjustments located on the bottom of this turntable that do allow for some correction if the speed is off

 I'm giving it 2 stars because it's beautifully made and I know there are good samples of this product out there. But I'm not the only one that has experienced speed issues with this unit and I feel I need to add my experience to the pool. I wish I had gotten a good sample of this sharp looking turntable. Perhaps, I'll try another order someday but for now, I just have to leave this here

Starting my turntable journey with this beauty - Sony PS22!

 You can find that preamp hereLittle Bear T7 Tube Phono Stage RIAA MM Turntable Pre-Amplifier &HiFi AUX Preamp   As I have only had this unit for less than a month I don’t feel comfortable giving it 5 Stars so that’s why I gave it 4 instead as I am also interested in the longevity of the table.  If you are considering a lower-priced turntable I would strongly suggest springing for something "up a level" if you can possibly stretch your budget. I know it's easy to say but it really will save you money in the long run by buying into a platform that allows you to upgrade / grow along with your vinyl collection.

  The built-in preamp does a nice job as well. I read other reviews where some people are getting a “pop” when powering on the turntable with the included preamp engaged - I AM NOT getting this “pop”. Not a peep from the built-in preamp turned “on” or “off” - it just works as expected. As for the sound from the preamp: I have no complaints but I’m sure some audiophiles with more experience could point out it’s flaws

As this was my first foray into turntables and vinyl I was little concerned with selecting my first turntable. I didn’t want to spend too much - just in case I wasn’t enamored with vinyl. So while searching I did consider the typical, cheaper alternatives in a lower price bracket. All I can say is I am SO glad I chose the Fluance RT81; the build quality and styling is WAY beyond those cheaper, plastic looking tables and that was important TO ME as I was going to have this set up in the main area of my home

 As I said, I’m not overly experienced in vinyl but so far I am happy with the sound I am getting from this cart. I’m sure that I’ll want something different before long. This seems to be the “thing” with vinyl - always changing / upgrading.

Gorgeous Turntable. No "Pop" Here.

I've enjoyed the treble with these too as I've never really experienced sibilance on any tuning. I listen to a lot of extreme metal so find these headphones to be great for it not turning into a muddy mess.

My current setup.

Starting on the left (beside Cthulhu) is the Little Dot MK2 (with Mullard tubes) and Sennheiser HD6XX. I use this setup mainly for listening to records, I have a Fluance RT81 turntable just out of shot. I coincidentally had these parts of my setup and saw DMS post a video about setups a few months back where he recommended the Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge which has definitely added the the detail heard on my records. The 6XX probably need no introduction here but they pair very well with the Little Dot MK2 and hide a lot of the imperfections of vinyl (pops/clicks etc. I clean my records but it's a problem of the format I guess). The whole sound is very warm, relaxed and easy to listen to while still maintaining a fair level of detail.

Next up is the Koss ESP/95X and Topping D10 which I would listen to files through Foobar on. I picked the ESP/95X up in Drops's EU warehouse closing sale in December 2019 and was incredibly lucky to do so. This would be my main listening setup and I love these headphones so much. I originally had them with stock pads and using Oratory1990s EQ settings but am currently trying them out with the stock EQ and Dekoni Elite Fenestrated pads. The detail on these are brilliant, I can pick out individual instruments, mids are very forward and "punchy". These are a bit bass light as has been mentioned before, although I've found the Dekoni pads have increased bass a bit. I've enjoyed the treble with these too as I've never really experienced sibilance on any tuning. I listen to a lot of extreme metal so find these headphones to be great for it not turning into a muddy mess. The downside is they aren't anywhere near as forgiving to poor recordings as the HD6XX is, so tinny raw black metal sounds even worse with these. I do often find myself wondering why I have big expensive headphones to listen to music recorded on a potato in a castle dungeon 🤔

Next is my "travel" setup (mainly for walking my dogs currently) - Sony NW-A45 and Koss Porta Pros with Yaxi pads. The Porta Pros are also headphones that don't need much introduction here, but they are a great pair of headphones for very cheap that allow me to enjoy good music on the go. Slightly bassier than what I'm used to, but have a surprising level of detail and an easy to listen to sound signature. They would be another pair that's great for death and black metal as the music doesn't devolve into a muddy mess. The Yaxi pads are great for these and make vocals sound clearer, improve comfort and in some cases seem to have improved treble and bass response (I assume due to distance from my ear?). I also have a Parts Express headband for these but tend to stick with the plain Koss one partly because I like the look and partly because it can fold up all compact.

Very pleased with this setup currently and can't think of too much I would change. I'm not going to say I'm at "endgame" because I like buying new things as much as everyone else here, but this setup has gone a long way towards stopping me just picking up every new flavour of the month headphone coming out. It allows me to actually enjoy my music rather than focusing on what could be changed and I'm very happy with that 🙂

Decent system but be careful.

I got a Fluance RT81 (built-in preamp) and Fluance Ai41 powered bookshelf speakers. It's all I need, costs around $500 and really sounds amazing. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it, or a similar setup.
