HiFiMan Arya

The HiFiMan Arya are open-back, planar magnetic headphones designed with fans of neutral sound in mind. They have a very neutral, though slightly bright sound profile and thanks to their open-back design, their soundstage is perceived as wide and spacious. They're also very comfortable and have a great build quality

Hifiman Arya. The 270 degree swivel design, metal headband and large cups makes for very comfortable headphones.

These SOUND delicious, wonderful and they will take your breath away........

….as will the cost of course! But CAUTION: This review is NOT for the Stealth version (update 1/24/22) but the first iteration that I purchased in 2019. I don not believe they are the same however, I would contact HiFiman directly to ascertain same. All that being said, here is my original review: I...

Wanna hear a *really* hot take? The Hifiman Arya sound like cheap, broken, knockoffs compared to the LCD-R and LCD-5. Diminishing returns exist, but in context.

HIFIMAN ARYA | THE BEST...so far

It's got a great warm bass response, but it's not too far.

ZMF, HiFiman Arya, and Edifier S3000 Pro. That is a whole lot of great sound for not too crazy money. Well done.

Is that a subwoofer under the desk?

Like Butter

Longtime audiophile and find myself in the last 3 years moving more and more away from my living room setup to quality headphones. I started with closed-ear headphones for work, etc. but certain life changes have made it possible to listen to open-ear headphones without fear of annoying anyone close...

. To add onto that I also audited the Sennheider HD600 and HD650, Audio Technica R70x, AD900x and AD2000x, AKG K712 Pro, K812 and the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro and Premium and lastly the DT 1990 Pro.  . To my ears, the Ananda's beat all of them.

After doing some research, I felt the Hifiman Arya was just what I needed as an upgrade to the "jack of all trades" type of headphones I feel that the Dt 1990 is. To keep it short and sweet, the Arya is a slightly more pleasant/relaxed sound, but certainly not worth the $1600 MSRP I paid for it. There was no wow factor when I put these on and the build quality is much worse than the Dt 1990. I'm ultimately returning the Arya as I can't justify paying that kind of price for what i'd argue is a 5% improvement in some areas and 5% decrease in others.
