Switching from MacBook to Chromebook: A year later

Flimsy design

Speakers and keyboard are fantastic, battery life is brilliant for me. It's a 360° convertible, has stylus support, and will get automatic updates until June 2028.

I am totally blind, so I use a screen reader to access the Internet.

Fortunately, Google has a built-in screen reader called chrome vox which allows me to access the Internet pretty well, it's not software I'm concerned about though its  hardware.

It's difficult to find a chrome book that meets my needs because most reviews focus on display quality and camera quality, which are things which are not particularly important to me.

Essentially, I'm looking for a device with long battery life, good speakers I can't stand the tinny speakersyou get on most laptops and having used the iPad I don't think I could ever go back to listening to that tinny sound from laptop speakers again, a touchscreen and a good selection of USB and microSD card ports.

I would also like it to be either foldable so I can use it as a tablet, or commas to separate pieces like a tablet and a keyboard.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a chrome book for someone who is totally blind

I am so frustrated with my Samsung Galaxy Chromebook that I want to scream. First, I really do love this laptop, it feels great to use, it's beautiful, and all the rest, however, after shelling out a mind-numbing 1K for a Chromebook, a month in, I had to send it back because the trackpad crapped out. It was fixed and it's been relatively ok over the next few months, and now, this absolutely gorgeous screen has lost its brightness except for a bright stripe about 2 inches from the top. So it's going back, yet again, to get fixed. I haven't had it a year yet. At least the warranty is good for a year. I am a Galaxy Note user and those phones are amazing, but everything else I get from Samsung has had problems. I had a TV which I had to replace after a year, and a microwave with buttons that stick. And this laptop is the worst. After I get back my fixed Chromebook, I am going to trade it in and get a new something. If anyone has a suggestion for another premium level Chromebook that actually holds up, is reliable, and feels great to use, has decent memory, and is fast, please share! Thanks!

Chromebook misery

Decent Chromebook, but no protective accessories exist.

i've been astounded by the battery life on this thing and the first time i went through a 10 hour day with no charger i thought it was bonkers. good to know it's only 9 minutes less than the #1 spot, the HP Chromebook x360 14 G1.

These Chromebooks have the longest battery life (tested by us, not marketing runtimes)

 The computer works wonderfully it not for this. Not real happy with that part of the computer.

So I recently bought a n21 model and I assumed every Chromebook had play store support. I don't see how this one is still planned when support ends in September but that's  a different story. The ability to use Google apps were a big selling point but I was curious how stable they are on a chromebook to see if I should just stick with windows laptops
