2 which is fine but I would have preferred Bluetooth 5.0 because it's slightly better. In terms of range I was able to get about 87 feet before the music started to cut out which is really good. Powering the speaker is just as easy as any other speaker so you won't have any problems there

 I love this feature because many of JBL's competitors don't have a good battery indicator. On the back of the speaker behind the waterproof flap we have a USB type C for charging which I am happy about, a 3.5mm input for physical connections, and a USB port if you wanted to charge your phone from the speaker. The JBL Charge 4 has Bluetooth 4

 What's going on guys, it's Gino from Modern Accessory Review and today we are talking about the JBL Charge 4. This speaker was released on August 30th, 2018 and quickly gained a ton of popularity. I personally bought it for $120 because I believe the best review should be from someone who has personal experience with the product.  The higher the volume the more battery will be used. The battery life is about average with its competitors and should definitely be enough for the average consumer. I haven't had any problems with the speaker dying on me because of the incredible battery indicators. We have 5 LED lights that will tell you how charged the speaker is

 I just liked it as a nice side feature I used sometimes with my last speaker like this. -Battery Life is fine, I haven't done complete testing on this. It does have a pretty significant battery in it for the "charge your device" option, but 20 hrs? Maybe at the lowest volume playing nice simple music. I won't need it for longer than 4hrs most of the time, so I doubt this will come up as an issue for me

 -Phone Connectivity is simple for music just push a top button, but not automatic for phone calls like it was with my other speaker I had in the price point. There are some reviews that cover troubleshooting this, the manual certainly is no help, but it's not what I needed it for. I just liked it as a nice side feature I used sometimes with my last speaker like this. -Battery Life is fine, I haven't done complete testing on this

 This thing would be hard to carry for someone with small hands.  -Volume and Sound Quality: It's loud in a room with no ambient noise. My music is mostly 90's rock like Metallica, Pantera, White Zombie. I like loud music and for my private office it's perfect

It's fine... It's connectivity range is pretty nice.

JBL Charge 4 Review｜Watch Before You Buy

 I like this. It’s powerful, good sound fast and solid Bluetooth connection. Four stars because it seems like the volume can’t get low enough for super quiet listening. It may be a function of my iPhone music

 It so happens to be my favorite song. And in that song, the speaker does really well on the instrument part. The audio is clear and so on the brighter side, but as soon as Freddie starts singing, his voice seemed drowned in the drum sounds. This thing has also got the headroom, that is the ratio of distortion to volume is also pretty balanced

 The speaker is also IPX7 rated for water and dust resistance. You can submerge it up to 1 meter for about 30 minutes, so perfect for pool parties and such and even rain festivals. About the sound quality, I don't know what to make of it. I mean the sound quality is good enough, but there's just too much bass and the first thing you will notice about this speaker is how loud it can get and it is very loud even for something with a mono audio output

 And also you don't get quite 20 hours of battery backup, you get around 17 hours on medium volumes and around 13 on high, and of course that means 4-5 days of battery for a normal user. And it takes like 4 hours to fully charge. There's also LED indicators to show you the battery levels which is good. And yes, the Charge 4 can charge other phones or earphones as well, and the charging speed seems okay too

 There's also a flap with the Charge 4 written on it that houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port for charging it and a USB-A port for you to charge your phone with. The top houses the control panel with the power button, Bluetooth button, volume buttons, play or pause button and a JBL Connect Plus button. The play-pause button can also skip a track when pressed twice on your phone and the JBL Connect Plus can allow you to link other JBL wireless speakers to play the same audio

Is the JBL Charge 4 Worth it?

 And this is the Charge 4 and you see that little plus right there. So that plus means you don't have to use the app to pay for the little upgrade so these can sync together. So if you have multiple products with a plus on there, they will automatically link together. So definitely look that up if you guys have multiple JBL speakers

 This is one of my favorite brands when it comes to portable speakers is JBL. I have the Charge 3 as well. I did a review on that. I'll put it up here for you guys and click that and check that one out as well

 Our channel is growing because of you guys, and I really do appreciate it, buds. Right now, this is one of the best-selling portable speakers on Amazon as we speak. All right, buds, so right now, the JBL Charge 4 is going for $130. It was crossed out from $200 down to $130

 Nothing's fighting each other. You don't have instruments on top of people's voices, can't hear the voices or vice versa. And of course, the bass sits in the background, supports all of it. So it sounds real good for a full rich sound
