 So I found that with my drives, I was missing a little bit more in the net. And I also felt like I had just a little less power. So give it a two for power. Spin, I give it a three, had really great spin

 For whatever reason, I just have less control. And so maybe I'm not able to whip it as fast, but that's just a little thing. The longer grip, I'm not as much of a fan of because I feel like I lose a little bit control with that. Finally, the aesthetics of this paddle, I would give it a three out of three because this paddle, it's got that sleek black design

Joola Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16mm Paddle Review

 So let's take a look and see how it stacks up against the competition. For the specs of this paddle, it comes in at $220 and we are looking at an elongated face with a curved top which Yola is calling the arrow edge, a 5.5 inch handle, a carbon fiber face that they are calling the carbon friction surface, hence the CFS in the name, polymer core, 4.25 inch grip circumference, and a 16 millimeter paddle thickness

4. The weight doesn't really bother me, but my model E is weighted up to 9.2 ounces. So to me, this is just lighter than what I'm used to, which is kind of nice

 But if you are in the market to upgrade paddles and were considering something like an Electrum, Carbon, or an Engage, then I would heavily consider looking at this one as well. It has far superior spin to Engage, and for me personally, the spin results were higher than both Electrum and Carbon. It has the same or more power than the Carbon 1, but it also retains good control like I had on the Model E. I'm honestly considering switching to it, but I will need much more playtime to decide if I actually like it more than my Model E

 But out of this box, the paddle is just quality. What a great looking paddle, feels great, felt a little head heavy when I got it. I put some tape at the bottom, now it did come at eight and a half ounces, which is on the heavy side, I've got it at eight, nine, and I don't feel any discomfort with this paddle. So it's really soft on the touch when you hit the ball

 I've got to say that the CX14E has a little larger sweet spot, so probably a little bit more forgiving for lower level players. You know, it comes in at eight ounces, so much more forgiving in that regard. But when it comes to pure playability, I'm going to give the Ben John's a one up on this one. Then the Carbon, also another great paddle

 Hey guys, this is Dave with Cliff Pickleball, and today we're going to do another paddle review. The new Yola Hyperion Benjons, I got it a few days ago from Pickleball Central, love their, you know, they're always on time with their shipments, I always buy my paddles from them. But out of this box, the paddle is just quality. What a great looking paddle, feels great, felt a little head heavy when I got it

 So you know, we've played probably about 40 games with this, you know, it's still as solid as day one, and I would assume that this is going to last a long time. At 220, it's more on the expensive side, but I don't see too much of a problem with the price, given the quality of this paddle. Great handle as well. And like I said, I've enjoyed playing with this paddle and especially going into the US Open with the Franklin balls and the heat down in South Florida

9 ounces, has the same carbon fiber surface, yolo's reactive 16 millimeter core and then what's different is its carbon four tandal and hyper foam edge but it costs $220 which is $50 more than the vision. The vision is softer and feels more consistent. I preferred playing with the vision over the swift and feel confident recommending it over the swift to anyone. If you don't like the extra weight of the original Hyperion cfs 16 then go with the vision cgs 16 instead of the swift

 Other than that they should play the exact same. When I put these paddles on the scale they both come in just above eight ounces. So the average weight for these paddles should be eight ounces. So these are both on par there

 So those are the three questions I'm going to answer in this review. Let's go put on the court and see how it plays. After drilling and playing with the paddle for over two weeks to get a good sense of how it plays here's my review of its performance and the answers to my questions. So starting with question number one did they fix the weight issue? Yes I think they did

 I really liked it too. So will taking away that half an ounce you know change the way it feels and performs. With it being lighter it's the specs of this paddle are getting awfully close to their Vision 16 millimeter which is made very similar to this one except it doesn't have a carbon-forged handle and it doesn't have the perimeter weighting. So the average weight of this is eight ounces while the average weight of the Vision which I actually have here comes in with I think an average of 7

Lots of people love the original Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16. However, those that didn't complained the paddle was too head heavy. Joola listened to the feedback and released a lighter version they are calling the Swift. But does the lighter version still feel and play the same as the original? I don't think it did.
